Hi Everyone,

I am 33 weeks into my first pregnancy and have just started to notice some stretch marks creeping up my abdomen. Has anyone had any success with any over the counter creams or oils such as Mederna??

Many thanks!

Lisa:)

I hope to get some info off of this thread too. I haven't even had kids yet and I have them from a weight gain thanks to prednisone. They are light but if I can avoid a tummy tuck I would love to.

Stretch mark creams do not work. The "stretching" comes from the deep layers in the skin and not on top. Moisturizing isn't going to stop it. It's mainly hereditary if you are going to get them.

As soon as your baby is born and you are not breastfeeding, get some Retin A from your doctor. It is the only cream/medication proven to lessen the severity of them but it must be applied while they are still new and reddish.

Yup!:thumbsup2

I can't comment on Retin A because I never used it - but Mederma and the other creams? Nope - didn't do a thing for me.
