Well, we are planning to do a May vacation somewhere, possibly Hawaii again but this 3/4 deal is hovering in my subconscious. I think it is a great deal and I NEVER get pin codes so I am toying with doing it. I have been going off and on the DisneyWorld pricing site and not getting great results. I linked through Mousesavers to SmallWorld and they were pretty good, quoted about 1500 for the POFQ for 4 of us with the 3/4 deal but I was kinda hoping for a deluxe for less than 2000 as people were getting in Jan/early Feb. What does everyone think, can it be done? Where can I look for my best prices. I live in the country and have dial up so it taked forever to check out pricing etc but I am willing-give me your best ideas PLEASE!!!I have to convince my DH that a week at the world is going to be better than 2 in Maui. I was even considering adding a 3 night cruise to the whole thing if I can get a great price on the land portion but I don't know-HELP!!!

I don't think you'll get the price people were earlier in the year. January and early February are value season and May is regular season. The rooms simply cost more per night in May. As for checking pricing on Disney's site versus a TA, there shouldn't be any difference. You can get the same discount directly as a TA. The only exception is a AAA discount on a package. You can only get that by booking through AAA.

Since you're on dial-up I would ask a TA to do the legwork for you. Choose a TA (Dreams Unlimited, SmallWorld, MouseFan, ... there are many reputable Disney specialist agencies), let them know your preferred dates and they will be able to tell you the best deal.

Booking a cruise is different. A TA can potentially get you a better deal than booking direct. I will warn you that the best prices for a cruise in May have already passed.

I'd recommend Saratoga Springs or Old Key West though (Studio Villas) since you'll also get $100 gift card.
