I was watching Don't Forget the Lyrics and now I'm too lazy to go change the channel. I've never watched this show before.

This crap drives me nuts. Let people wear what they want. A show like What Not to Wear is bad enough, but what makes this chick think she's so beautiful and stylish that she can walk up to random people on the street and tell them they don't look good???

I already changed it because it made me so angry. Tyra asked the audience/viewers "do you ever see someone on the street and you think you could make them over better?"

Never quite been able to grasp the "What Not To Wear" type scenarios.. Don't most people wear what they're comfortable in (very, very important to me) and what they like? I mean unless your spouse or SO tells you that you look like a train wreck - LOL, why does it matter what anyone else thinks? Even as a teen I wore what I wanted to - whether it was "in fashion" or not.. Never caused a problem for me then - nor does it now.. I think once you reach the stage of being able to purchase your own clothes and dress yourself, it shouldn't really matter what anyone else thinks - exception being work attire that you need to adhere to..

The reason WNTW doesn't bother me as much is because of how much time and money they spend on you. I would definitely dress differently if I could blow five grand on clothing.

But I hate the "ambush" aspect of it. I'd rather have people just nominate themselves instead of having someone else do it. My family know that if they wanted to nominate me I'd be okay with it, but there is NO WAY I'd be okay with a stranger telling me I don't look okay. I think I'd punch them. LOL.

I like WNTW, I have learned a lot from them as to how to dress my body type. I agree, I don't like the ambush aspect either but I do like their styling advice.

I do see people on the street and I wonder what possessed them to leave the house in the outfit they have on. This is something I generally think of when I see too much body in too little clothing mainly when that clothing consists of pajama apparel or sweat pants.

I don't think to myself that I could make them over, that is way toooo arrogant IMO, but I do sometimes wonder if they have friends or a mirror.

Honestly, the What Not to Wear type shows make me SO MAD! I mean, unless you are showing up to a law office position in a bikini top and shorty shorts, I don't give a D**N what you wear. If you are comfortable, then wear it. That is what I do, and again, you guessed it, I don't give a D**N what you think of how I am dressed. If I am dressed appropriately for the occasion, then LEAVE ME ALONE! I have been accused of "dressing like an old lady", well guess what, maybe I want to look like an old lady, what does it matter to you??? (This came from my mother in law) I mean seriously, do you want me to dress like my 11 year old DD, I DON'T THINK SO!
