I have a strange question concerning giving a tip at a restaurant when you have a CP package.

We will be on the DxDDP so we will be using 2 credits for the CP Package. When we eat at the restaurant, do we tip based on our meals or based on what the CP package would have run us if we had paid OOP?

For example, if we eat at Teppan Edo (using 2 credits on the DxDDP), our food will probably total around $90. But if we paid OOP for the CP package, our total would be somewhere around $125 (based on 2010 prices). Which amount should I base my tip on?

I believe when you receive the check, it will have a "suggested 18% tip" already calculated. Of course, whether you follow the suggested gratuity is up to you..

And I suspect this thread will be locked any moment now..

I'm not asking if I should give the suggested 18% tip. I always give at least 18%. I'm asking if that amount will be based on our food amount or on the CP Package amount. I'm just trying to budget accordingly.

All tipping questions are limited to the Tipping Information Thread on the main Restaurant board. The first post gives an explanation as to why, and some guidelines about tipping discussions.
