Strange telephone Call

Has anyone received a call coming up on caller ID as GB with a ***-305-2212phone number?

The caller referenced our time share several times but never referenced DVC or Disney by name and wanted us to attend a meeting regarding changes to our timeshare...

We are guessing it was someone trying to get us to list our 'timeshare' for sale with them or some other type of scam.

Just curious.

haven't got that call, but yes, it's 99.999% sure to be a scam.

My DH got a call from someone regarding us letting a military person using our points. The thing is I own the timeshare. It was really odd.

I used to get those all the time. I told them not to call anymore. They kept telling me it was about my RCI timeshare.

We get calls like this at least once a week. Usually they ask if I am interested in renting out our timeshare. For a while the person was claiming to be from RCI and told me that I was entitled to a free Florida trip because our DVC timeshare is connected to RCI and they wanted to know why we haven't used it. That's when I hang up...it's got scam written all over it.

Oh, yes-I remember that one! And what was really strange was that when I asked them specifically what timeshare, they referenced a contract that we'd sold about 8 years ago. We no longer own points at that resort. Boy, they've bought some OLD list!

Over the years I have gotten many similar calls and actually got the one you mention only a month ago, and I have always informed the caller that my number is on the National Do Not Call Registry and to cease calling me, and then hung up.
