If you have read any of my other posts, you know by now I like to plan things out the the "n"th degree. So here is my latest question:

We will be taking our kids to their first MNSSHP this year. We are staying at WDW for a week (Sat., 10/8 - Fri., 10/14). Should I try to get tickets for Tuesday's party or Thursday's party? I was just wondering if I should save the party 'til Thursday and have a big ending to the week. If we go on Tuesday, will the next few days be anti-climactic? I know they will still have fun, but I was just curious.

Also, if we go on Tuesday, and stay until midnight, is that going to wear them out for a couple of days?

Any advice? :confused3

We went last year, and went on Wed. You don't state how old your kids are, but mine slept in slightly, and then we went to MGM about 10:30 the next day, they were fine. I personally, like to do all my evening plans early in the trip. That way my evenings are open for the last few nights to use for catch up or second viewings of evening shows we like.

We went on a Friday night with two girls 7 & 9. I agree about the sleep late thing. The next morning we didn't leave for the parks will around 9:30-10:00. We were all pretty wiped out by the time we got off the boat at the Poly, actully left around 11PM. It's a whole lot of fun but can get pretty intense if there are big crowds. We were there on the 8th oc October and it was a sell out night. Didn't get much candy in the park but were LOADED down by CM's at the gate. I'm still finding backs of Shock Tarts! It's a great experience, especially the parade and Wishes. We'll probably be there again this year

I say Tues. we went then 2 yrsd ago...the Columbus day wkend can get pretty busy, but extra crowds seems to clear out by Tues and it was a nice day to sleep in late, enjoy the pool and then go over to the park for a late lunch and get ready for the party. The crowds in the park were slower and the party was not at all crowded...no wait more than 5 min for a ride....we stayed until the very end as we slept in...many little one left early after the parade then there was tons of candy, CM's were trying to give us whole bags and we stayed on Splash Mountain 3 times in a row!
