we bough 325$ worth of GC as gifts 3 $100 and 1 $25

on 2 of the 100$ it says activaction within 3 hrs

I never got the message before still we never buy that many at one time either

so I have a feeling its a fraud prevention deal

or is there some other reason--anyone else get this

just hoping that when the people go to use them theres no problems

thanks all and happy holidays

Seems scammy to me. If I were you, I’d use a computer or device you did not open that email up on and check the value of the GC via the official website. Make sure the address bar is secure and has the little lock device on it. These kinds of web email scams are pretty common right bow. Also, be sure you are on protected wifi and not an open signal like Starbux. They are the worst.
Edited because the typos were just horrendous. Sorry!

I've had this happen at Target before and basically it may take a few hours for the GC you bought to be active. There has been times where it was fine but there was one time where both GCs I bought were not activated at all even after that 3 hour window had passed. I called Target and the respective companies (Starbucks, etc.). I ended up going back to Target and demanding my money back. That might have been a fluke day because they were aware there was a GC activation issue and gave me no pushback at all for returning my GCs. So my advice is to just advise the people you are gifting it to, to let you know if they have any issues using it.
