I have searched the net and havent been able to find the answers I need. Maybe someone here can help?

I have noticed that Karissa doesnt sweat much. ( shes 4 ) She does have a small amount of sweat but really not much at all.

Tonight we were at church and she was running up and down the stairs ( miracle in itself :D) and she was very warm to the touch ( I get like that too) but little sweat. The other two were sweating.

When she gets hot (which is rare anyway) she turns red like me her body feels hot but there is never a lot of sweat. I can feel a small amount of dampness but not like my other kids. This is all over not just in one area.

Is this just part of her "quirks"? or is this something I should be relaly worried about?
She has her anual doctors appointment tomorrow and I will mention it then but Ive been racking my brain trying to remember ever seeing her really sweat.

Help?

I'd ask her doctor if you're concerned but it sounds perfectly normal to me. Some adults I know sweat easily and others never seem to "glisten". ;) It's just a natural difference.

My Mom and a few of her relatives were/are like this. They don't sweat even though they feel hot. As for me, I get drenched easily like my Dad did.

It's a genetic thing as far as I can tell. What your DD has to watch out for is overheating since sweat is one way the body cools down and adjusts body temperature.

I do the same thing, although it seems like the more water I drink the more I sweat.
