Can anyone tell me at what time this ride opens on a EMH day, and also on a regular morning when the park opens at 8:00AM? (summer hours). I seem to remember it opens later than other attractions, but I'm not too sure. Thanks!

It has been open both times I have been there for a Sunday 8am rope drop. The first time, last year, they only had one boat running first thing in the morning so there was a bit of a wait. Two weeks ago there were 2 boats running so we basically just walked on. The new Arendelle setting is really cute :)

By 9:30 a couple of weeks ago there were at least 3 boats running and the line was only about 20 minutes. We rarely go on this ride because of the length of the line, so it was exciting. Arendelle really is awesome.

A few weeks ago we caught it at about 8:40 AM before heading to Toontown, so I think it's probably opening at rope drop. We waited maybe 10 minutes; I think there were at least 3 boats.

I am taking kids 2, 4, and 7 in a few weeks, if theres a line is it worth making the kids wait for this ride? I've heard is a slower ride and since its not character or little kid oriented I wasn't sure.

Personally, I love this ride, and the Casey Jr train. I have gotten on these in the early morning, but not at rope drop, they both opened a little later. You can ask CMs in the area. I rode Peter Pan and Toad first, then headed over to these two rides.

I think the kids would like it, the older two would enjoy the miniature little towns, and the 2 year old would like the slow pretty boat ride.

If you're only going to ride the rides with no line, you'll have a lot of free time to wait for this one...

I would still wait for it. I was 2 when I first went on the ride and it quickly became my favorite. I was absolutely mesmerized by the tiny things and it fueled my yearly Christmas list request for a dollhouse. :D Which I'm happy to say, I received a few years later.

You just never know which rides your kids will love.

I've never seen it open during MM/EE but at regular park opening it's either been open or about to open. Last summer we started our own line about 5 min before regular opening during an EE day and were on the first boat around 9:10am (8AM EE). I had been to DL many times and always walked past that ride until last summer when I read here about what the ride is all about. Now I've been our last 2 trips and absolutely love it. I've done the train too which is OK if you truly just want to see things but the experience from the boats is so magical and relaxing.

I love sarcasm so your response was super helpful:) Funny though I didn't mention not wanting to stand in line, period, just wondering about a longish wait on a ride that may not be that great for a more impatient group. I was thinking like the MK ride Tomorrowland Transit Authority - if our park time is limited I'm not waiting in line for this.

You didn't say longish wait, you said "a line." That's going to be tough, having a more impatient group in a theme park. I wish you luck.
