Story help!!

I want to write a story. I have a few charactors made. I just need plot and setting ideas. The main charactor is named Bridget Morgan. She has a little sister named Isabella. Thinking maybe her dad is a chef and her mom writes a coulmn for a newspaper. Any ideas?

no ideas..yet. i just finished writing a novel about the haunted mansion. what ever you do DONT give up. i've gotten writers block several times. just save it and don't look at it for a few days. inspiration will come. what if the family lived on the big island of hawaii. the mom/dad lost their job and forced to relocate to montana (or some northen, landlocked cold state.) and the story could switch POV's each chapter as they follow each members sturggle to addapt to the new surrounding. idk... kinda predictable.

I could POSSIBLY throw out a few ideas...IF I knew what kinda stuff you enjoy writing about! Fiction, non-fiction, this time period, different time period, horror, mystery, action/adventure, romance, everyday life???

what my haunted mansion book? i don't think it'll fit. it's over 200+ pages! plus we are thinking of sending it off to to a publisher/editor to look over. i'm in the midst of looking for hypierion's number. (disney's publisher)

another idea: the parents are getting divorced. one takes one daughter and moves t ocali and the other takes the other daughter and moves 2 ny. both parents find new loves and both girls have individual struggles with setting adjustment/missing each other. the older girl's family member starts going out with a person with a smokin' hot son her age. the little girl gets twin sisters much like the evil stepsisters from cinderella, who get everything and trample all over isabella...idk, just what popped into my mind.

That's awesome! I'd totally buy it if it got published...That way I could read it AND be able to say "Oh, her? I knew that girl who wrote that...Shes cool, shes cool..." lol...Not really but I'd love to read it...Good luck!

I love all your ideas thanks! Does anybody else have any ideas? I would like to enter it in a contest. does anybody know any good contests to submit it too? I have created another charactor. He is named Chris Petermont. He is going to be the love interst for the main charactor, Bridget. Bridget wants to become a writer like Carrie Bradshaw in Sex in the City. Keep the ideas coming!

just remember, if it's set in current day and supossed to be realistic, make sure the idea fits. make it believable.
