Stormtroopers Stole My Christmas--*UPDATED 07/02/17!*--Pg. 10

After our history lesson, who am I kidding... we took naps. They were fantastic and air-conditioned. I'm a princess, don't judge me.

Anyways, I wanted to go shopping so I convinced my mom and dad to walk to Main Street!

Along the way they were handing out free sugar cookies... FREE, in Disney World... Free!!!

I feel like this justified my awesome idea of walking all the way to Main Street to go shopping, instead of riding rides and stuff.

So after searching long and hard, I bought some tea. Mom was all like, "We went to Main Street for you to get tea?..." :rotfl2:

Yes, yes we did. I told you, I am a princess! :rotfl:

After buying some tea, I convinced dad to buy me this little beauty... For a measly $35,000.

31446478553_5b0a90d3ce_z.jpg

Kidding... I'm good, but not that good. I had law school tuition to look out for, but maybe one day I'll make enough as an attorney to buy it for myself! lol.

Shopping was done, that tea was detrimental to my happiness, so we went over to Stitch's Great Escape.

So glad you were finally able to ride 7DMT--the theming is really quite amazing!! Although I agree that I wouldn't wait 120 minutes for it.

Yes I agree about 7DMT. Love the theming, especially the Old Hag at the end saved from Snow Whites Scary Adentures ( there's more from that ride too but I can't remember what) but no way would I wait long for it-30 mins tops and 30 if I s with someone who begged lol. It's just too short! I love riding it at night because it's so pretty looking out over Fantasyland
Free cookies woo-hoo! Those were one of the kinds being given out at MVMCP- was there a party that night? Regardless I guess Disney was just in a Merry type of mood that day!

Finally it was time to ride Soarin'! We hadn't been on it since it changed, so everyone was pretty excited.

31715839460_e4493c8271_z.jpg

I have to say that it was AMAZING!! So much better than the previous one in my opinion, although I miss the orange grove smell. I always love when everyone starts applauding when the ride is over!

I cannot wait! I have only been on soaring once MANY years ago and then I had to pee so bad that is was NOT fun for me. In 2013 I was unable to ride (2 hour wait? NOPE!) This time I have my first FastPass+ and I'm riding Soarin Weds 1/18!!!

Great Trip Report I am enjoying it very much Thank you for sharing!

Awesome report! Buying that castle is a life goal....if I ever hit the lotto, that thing is going on my coffee table!

It is a great ride, and it should be considering how long it took to build! I hope eventually the wait time won't be absurdly long, but it is an awesome ride so I doubt that will happen!

Ohhhhh I bet a nighttime 7DMT is amazing!!! That makes sense about the cookies, we got leftover MVMCP cookies! lol. No complaints, but I was skeptical. The had the last party of the season the night before...
They served the cookies in Old Port Royale of CBR at the end of our trip too, must have had WAY too many! lol.

Omg that is awesome you finally got a fast pass!!! You will LOVE it! The new one is sooooo good! You'll have to do a TR so we can all see your reaction to finally riding it! Thanks for reading!

Awesome report! Buying that castle is a life goal....if I ever hit the lotto, that thing is going on my coffee table!

Same here! The castle they used to have in the Arribas Bros store for like $75,000 was my life goal... I wonder what happened to that one.

I keep hoping that one day the wait won't be quite so long, but no luck so far. That's one ride that makes me love FP+!!

I for one love Stitch's Great Escape! We only got to see it one time this trip, as the wait time got ridiculously long at 40+ minutes towards the end of the trip.

After Stitch spit on us, we moved on to watching adults drive mini cars... they had so many adults hitting each other... adults that probably possess driver's licenses. :car:

At this point we had a short amount of time left before our dinner ADR, so we headed over to New Fantasyland to look around.

Finally, it was time for the dinner I had been waiting on for years!!

32218300966_f6529b3890_z.jpg

Seriously years. Since 2013, I have been trying to get a coveted BOG dinner reservation to no avail. We had previously eaten lunch there, which was great don't get me wrong, but it was no where near satisfactory as dinner was!

After checking in, we were told to wait until I received a text message on my phone prior to heading towards the gates. As soon as the CM finished her sentence my phone went off, and we were allowed to wait behind the gates.
They had lemon water for everyone, and the CM's were rapidly coming out to bring guests inside. After a short wait, we were brought into the dining room...

I was sooooo excited to get a table in the ballroom, as it's my favorite in the whole castle!!
Our waiter came by, and took our drink orders and left us with the menu.

32107337152_83589a39e9_z.jpg

32137296761_0bb86eda5f_z.jpg

I wasn't too concerned with the menu as I was with taking pictures of the ballroom on my phone. The poor table next to us probably thought I was absolutely crazy, but how often do you get BOG dinner reservations that made the whole trip happen?!

32107335962_cd0954b8a8_z.jpg

The waiter brought out the rolls, which were still warm and tasted AMAZING. I probably could've eaten an entire basket, but no... that would have ruined the amazingness that was sure to follow.

32107334992_8291490b9a_z.jpg

Our waiter recommended the Shrimp and Scallops with pasta, so dad went with that and LOVED it.

32256534825_b0b00c76ba_z.jpg

Mom ordered the chicken, which she enjoyed as well.

31446462263_b3728876da_z.jpg

I ordered the steak, with pomme frites and truffle mayo. OMG this was AMAZING!! The steak was perfect, and the pomme frites with TRUFFLE mayo were sooooo good. I had never had truffle anything in my life, but I am for sure a fan. lol.

32256570305_8da097706c_z.jpg

After eating all of that deliciousness, it was time for dessert. I convinced dad to get the Grey Stuff brownie, and he was surprised it wasn't overly sweet.

31446459813_69d3f36d55_z.jpg

Mom and I went with the No Sugar Added Lemon Raspberry Cream Puff. The only thing raspberry about it was the raspberry on top, but that did not matter to me because this was the BEST dessert of the entire trip!!! Seriously, best hands down!

Overall, the dinner at BOG was so good and worth it. Mom and Dad were happy with it, and everyone agreed it was the best reason to take a trip to Disney World!

No worries, I'm working on my next trip planning... :rotfl:

After dinner, we got in line for It's a Small World. The wait claimed 30 minutes, but it was maybe 15. While waiting in line we were amused with the grown men that were playing with their children's bubble makers. It was hilarious.

I don't know if any of you have ever noticed... but IASMW goes on forever... and ever... and ever... :scared1:

After our cruise around the world, we walked over to The Haunted Mansion for our Fastpass but found that we still had 10 minutes to wait so we went to Memento Mori, where I found this creepy print.

31415185414_4337aa1f58_z.jpg

After looking around, we went and stood outside to people watch. The Riverboat was docking so mom and I watched that for a few minutes. At one point the riverboat looked like it was going to hit us, and mom wanted to move... but I assured her it wasn't coming towards us. lol.

32137266071_84065bb3af_z.jpg

Finally, it was time for our Fastpass!

32218269976_db4c8d32db_z.jpg

After riding the Haunted Mansion, we walked back towards the castle to watch the show and some of the parade. I have to say I was impressed with the projections on the castle, they were so crisp and clear.

32256546035_c98163ddc4_z.jpg

Once the show was over, we walked into Tomorrowland to watch the Incredibles Dance Party, including Santa Stitch (adorable!). :stitch2:

31415177954_5409bf69f8_z.jpg

Finally, it was time to save the galaxy from the evil emperor Zurg... lol.

I mean... I did terrible! I think my laser was broken.

32256540745_2950fa4e8f_z.jpg

After earning my terrible score, we were all pretty tired and decided to go back to Caribbean Beach for the evening.

32218262876_62ea12ffbd_z.jpg

The bus ride took forever, where sooooo many of the passengers fell asleep... the adults, not the kids though. Those little monsters were wide awake, and it was hilarious to watch them with their bubble makers while their parents slept. :rotfl2:

Once back at CBR, mom and I wanted to grab something to drink at Old Port Royale, so we took the short walk there to fill our refillable mugs. After filling out drinks, we started to walk back and saw the fireworks from Hollywood Studios.

32256532515_8bb07482af_z.jpg

Seeing the fireworks was an awesome way to end the evening! Mom and I finished our walk back to the room, everyone took showers and crashed! Not before I introduced my dad to Shark Tank...

UP NEXT: Christmas Eve!

Hey Ya'll! I'm back!! Sorry for anyone who was waiting on an update, law school has sucked the life out of me lately. One of my classes was cancelled today, so I had a three hour break and got all of my work done for the day! Yayyyy. So, back to updating this TR!!!

So, for Christmas Eve I had planned an evening at the Magic Kingdom, and thought we would sleep in a little. However, it was the complete opposite and everyone was ready around 8 am... so we decided to head to Animal Kingdom for half of the day!

The park had just opened, so people were rushing for the Safari and Expedition Everest. Dad and I really wanted to ride EE, so mom stuck around in Discovery Island and took some pictures before meeting us there.

Dad and I wound up riding Expedition Everest twice through the single rider line, while mom hung out with Tuesday the owl at Flights of Wonder.

32609610646_f79bfd795f_z.jpg

Trying to escape being chased by a yeti works up an appetite, and we were all starving at this point. Dad and I met back up with mom and tried to come up with a plan for food, until we all agreed Flame Tree BBQ was the obvious choice!

We walked back up to the front of the park, and realized it was 10:15 am and Flame Tree was supposed to open at 11! :scared: There was a line forming so obviously we joined it. A few minutes after joining the line, I had go to the restroom. Meanwhile, my phone falls out of my shorts and OMG I JUST ABOUT DIED! I immediately thought, "NOOOOOOO, please don't be in the toilet, please don't be in the toilet!!!!" :crazy2:

It wasn't. Thank goodness!! No, it wasn't in the toilet, it was just under the toilet and the lady's feet next to me. That was an awkward situation, but I retrieved the phone and sanitized it as best as I could. The phone case has since been retired... lol.

Anyways, I rejoined my parents in line and to our surprise Flame Tree opened at 10:30 am! There was QUITE the line at this point, but the service was super fast. We found a spot overlooking the view of Everest, and enjoyed an amazing lunch.

I went with the ribs and chicken combo, which was fantastic.

32650239255_42e62755be_z.jpg

Mom got the chicken and pulled pork:

32650236915_89235f4185_z.jpg

Dad got the full rack of ribs, and the chocolate mousse cake.

Lunch was amazing, and it started to get super busy by the time we were finished eating. Our eyes were most definitely larger than our stomachs, but the BBQ was soooo good! The view was pretty spectacular as well.

After lunch, mom took us to see some kangaroos she had seen earlier while waiting on us to ride EE. I mean, how often do you get to see a kangaroo?! Super cool!

31807243304_ca40c527ba_z.jpg

We decided to see what the wait for the Safari looked like, so we walked over to Harambe.

31807235834_fd7a0921b9_z.jpg

32497200992_62b965d29e_z.jpg

Throughout Harambe there were several instances of Christmas decorations, like these wreaths that were made out of bicycle tires.

31837980763_3cb822db1a_z.jpg

We made it to the Safari, and saw that there was only a 30 minute wait so we hopped in line. The wait ended up being maybe about 15 minutes, so it wasn't bad at all.

32650219715_cb507ec7ba_z.jpg

Before we knew it, we were on our way to save Big Red! Oh... never mind, we were on our way to see some animals and cross a shaky bridge. No, no that doesn't happen either... Okay well, we are on our way to ride in a giant truck and look at some fancy animals! Woooo!

32650218205_d1c7f835ba_z.jpg

Awe yea, I forgot that the Safari had the Big Red and Little Red Adventure story-line! And I can see the advantage of staying closer to Old Port Royale; you definitely had a great view of the fireworks. We've stayed in Jamaica and Aruba on past trips and never really saw a view like yours. Cool!

I ordered the steak, with pomme frites and truffle mayo. OMG this was AMAZING!!
This is my favorite meal at BOG! Of the 7x I've had dinner there I've gotten this 6. Always delicious!

No worries, I'm working on my next trip planning...
:thumbsup2

After filling out drinks, we started to walk back and saw the fireworks from Hollywood Studios.
I didn't realize you could see HS fireworks from there, that's awesome! I have friends staying there in April so I'll have to tell them. I'm guessing it was the Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM ones you saw? But also thinking the Star Wars ones would be visible........

Meanwhile, my phone falls out of my shorts and OMG I JUST ABOUT DIED! I immediately thought, "NOOOOOOO, please don't be in the toilet, please don't be in the toilet!!!!" :crazy2:
LMAO!

but I retrieved the phone and sanitized it as best as I could. The phone case has since been retired... lol.
:crazy2::faint: Yeah. If it was anything other than my phone I would have thrown it away lol but you can't do that with a phone! I've dropped my hairbrush on public bathroom floors-right in the garbage ::yes::

After lunch, mom took us to see some kangaroos she had seen earlier while waiting on us to ride EE.
Second thing I've learned from your updates - don't think I've ever seen the kangaroos there!
