The shelf I had storing all my scrapbook stuff fell off the wall, I'm taking that as a hint to clean it up! I don't forsee working on anything for a while, so want to box things up so they will be "safe" in a few years when I get back to it. I have lots of stuff still in the original packaging, should I leave them in it? As for the items that are open, do I need any special boxes to put them in, acid-free or whatever, or can I just use a regular Rubbermaid bin? What is the best way to store photos that are printed?

Thanks for any advice! :goodvibes

I probably would store like things together. Embellishments, ribbon, paper. Be careful filling up that paper box. When we moved, dh almost got a hernia moving my scrap materials. If things are in the original package, I'd probably keep it like that. I don't see why rubbermaid tubs wouldn't work. As far as photos go, the most compact way to store them is using the Creative Memories photo box. I think it holds like 1200 photos. I think Cropper Hopper (which you could get from a craft store with a coupon)has something similar. I think photo albums would take up too much room. Good luck!

I would post this over in the scrapbooking section of the Creative Community section of the boards. They will be able to give you more specifics. :goodvibes

Ditto.

I store in the 12x12 containers you get at craft stores. And I'm always ziplocking like with like.
