Storey Lake or Champions Gate

We have narrowed it down to these 2 communities.

Storey Lake - I like the proximity to everything, but have heard some not so great reviews about the gate being a pain in the butt. Like the price point of the homes.

Champions Gate - really like the look of the community and the homes. However, it is more expensive and further away.

Which community do you prefer and why? We are specifically looking for a pool with privacy screening (why all pool homes don't have this, I have NO idea!) and a home, not a town home.

Thanks!

Kristine

We are specifically looking for a pool with privacy screening (why all pool homes don't have this, I have NO idea!) and a home, not a town home.

As you have already discovered, privacy screening is not very common. Make sure to check the pool pictures carefully. Some developments pack the houses very close together and I think they skip the privacy screening to make the space appear more open.

I am not familiar with the Storey Lake development so I can't offer a comparison.

Our winter home is near the Champions Gate area. It is a very nice area but it is becoming increasingly crowded with lots of new construction. The traffic, especially during peak times, is heavy. In the morning the Champions Gate entrance onto I-4 east backs up and I-4 slows due to the heavy inflow. In the afternoon I-4 west backs up well past 192. If you decide on the Champions Gate area there are backroads to Disney to avoid this traffic.
