I am just wondering if there is a walmart, target, kmart, or something like that close to ASMo? We're leaving saturday and are hoping there is one fairly close by that we can take a quick trip to on saturday once we arrive.

I did a search for this info on here but it came up empty so I am sorry if there is already a thread about this.

Thanks for any and all info you can provide....princess:

We stayed at the All Star Music. We didn't have a car so took a cab to the nearest Walmart. It would cost you $20 one way. There should be 2 in Kissimmee.

Thanks a bunch! That link was very helpful and knowing that someone else has taxi'd to one is good to know too...we're going to try the bus system....

we'll see how it works or doesn't soon enough We leave on Saturday!!! WOO HOOO:woohoo:

You are going to try WHAT bus system? I don't believe that public buses come onto Disney property and Disney buses don't run off property to like down town Kissimee or anything like that. If you want to leave the property you will need to have a car or call a taxi, I think Mears comes on property but only to take people to specific places like Universal and such. Not true public transportation.

I did realize disney busses don't go off property and there is no public access from the resorts either but there is from downtown dis.

we're planning to take dis busses to dtdis then transfer to one of the public busses that go into orlando. we've looked up the routes and all that. It should be interesting and if we don't like it on the way there we'll plan to take a taxi back from shopping lol!

we figure either way it will be an adventure.

Orlando public buses (Lynx) pick up customers at DD and TTC.

Thank you that's exactly the system I was thinking about but for some reason the name escaped me....

yes the lynx system will take us to where we need to go on our shopping day...cheaper than a taxi, only we're not sure if it's gonna work well or not but we're totally willing to try it!

:)

I started a thread and no one answered me back am glad I found this one. By any chance does anyone know where the closest Ross store is?? I love this store and know there is 2 in the WDW area but can't find them on the map to co-inside with Marker 15 on Irlo Bronson near the Super Walmart. That walmart is the one we go to and it isn't far from ASM and we love it. They have a big disney section once you enter. Things there we found were double the price at disney, same tags and everything.
