Stopping over in Macon or Valdosta GA

We are traveling from Central IL. We will probably stop over for a night in Macon or Valdosta. We are looking for a nice hotel with an indoor pool...anywhere past Atlanta I guess will do. Any suggestions?? Any indoor waterpark type of hotels in this area. Thanks for any info!

I would recommend stopping in Valdosta, Georgia. Now as for a place to stay I would highly recommend the Hampton Inn & Suites Valdosta/Conference Center, which is located off exit 16. Now they don't have an indoor pool however it's a very nice location and each morning they have their free On the House hot breakfast and they also have various cold items.

A number of places will have indoor pools, though I don't know of any that really merit an "indoor waterpark" description. About halfway between Macon and Valdosta, the Fairfield Inn in Cordele has an indoor pool and is very nice, modern and well-kept (and just a few years old). We stayed here about a month ago.

The Comfort Suites in Byron, Georgia (maybe 10-15 miles south of Macon?) also has an indoor pool and is very nice as well. In Valdosta, I'd go for the Country Inn & Suites, which also has an indoor pool. All three of the above offer free breakfast.

Check out Warner Robins... Nice sized town that has plenty of spots to stay and eat. It's a military town(Robins AFB). We have stayed there on previous trips down to WDW.
