Hello,
We are driving from Knoxville TN and are going to stop past Atlanta for the night. We aren't leaving until DH gets home from work. Does anyone know a nice clean hotel around Macon or a bit further if there is anything down that way. We want to get more than half way the first night. Thanks in advance. :goodvibes

Metro Atlanta extends far outside the city-you will have no problem finding a suitable hotel down the 75 corridor. You may want to stop in McDonough(30-40 minutes south of Atlanta) or travel another 45 minutes past that to Macon.

Hi! If you want to stop in Macon come down I-75 and get off at the Arkwright/Riverside exit. There are plenty of nice hotels on that exit and it is a nice area with plenty of eating places as well as a K-mart for any extras you might need.Or if you take 475 which is the bypass you should get off at Zebulon Rd. exit there are lots of newer hotels there. My suggestion is this go about 25 mins further South get off at the Byron exit. There are lots of new hotels there with a variety of eating places as well. Hope this helps!
