Stop Making Me Laugh Or I'll Pee My Pants! Go Back! I Lost My Shoe! Trip Report!

AWESOME pictures! That Lacey. She's so pretty! Just like her momma. I'm proud of those kids too. They are what I hope my Mitchell grows up to be.

Thanks! She has her daddy's eyes and nose for sure. I have blue eyes but John and Lacey have BLUE eyes. Lacey has always been a "do unto others as you would have them do until you" person....even when she was a little kid. Hunter is all boy but he also loves to give hugs (sometimes to the point of annoying you) and help out others. I am sure that Mitchell will grow up and make you very very proud.

Now your fav pics are mine too. Lacey looks like her moma. Congrats. Such a pretty girl. I love that one of Lacey and Jesse beside her. He has such a full smile. Now, how in this world did that daughter of yours manage to climb to the top in that barn photo? You or I couldn't have done it at all. That amazes me.

The poor girl and the sunglass issue. I should have thought of wearing mine more when in Disney but that thought never occured to me for some reason. I just let the shiner shine. And my skinned up cheek.

Be proud Lisa. Your children have given you every reason to be. Lacey is awe-inspiring.

I had about two dozen more pictures but these are the best ones. Thanks for the compliment on Lacey's beauty. Just like the old saying....beauty comes from within. Jessie is a gentle giant. He has such a pure heart. I am so glad that he and Lacey like each other.

When I saw the barn picture, I wondered the exact same thing but I forgot to ask Lacey how she got up there. I even studied the picture wondering if she climbed out of the loft and only the wall. But, she couldn't have done that because it's too far in between the two. I finally decided that she much have climbed on a ladder and sat down then they pulled the ladder away. Wouldn't have done me a bit of good 'cause I would have been stressing over my ever present height issues.

If I thought that Sydney wouldn't kill me, I'd post a picture that shows her bruised nose. Lacey talked her into letting them take a picture of her with her hair over one eye. She hated the picture though.

Don't you worry. I am super proud of both Lacey and Hunter.

Lisa, great pictures. Thank you so much for sharing. :)

Thanks Kathy! My baby is certainly not a baby anymore....well, at least in everybody else's eyes. But, like you said, you never stop worrying about your children no matter their age.

Can anybody say "how much longer is this day going to last?". My boss is about to drive me crazy. I have the appeal all finished up and he's approved it and signed it. But, he wants me to wait and file it at 11:45 a.m. tomorrow. Doesn't want to give the other side time to ponder over what we said. I get what he's saying but I'm ready to get this off my desk.

He also knows that he is going to be in court out of town tomorrow so he's trying to cram as much into this afternoon as possible. Why do bosses put off stuff all week long and then try to smoosh it all into one day?

I wanted to get a Branson trip installment posted this afternoon but he's ruining it for me. I may just decided to start a strike (which probably won't be very effective since it's just me here:laughing:). Nah, I won't do it to him. I'll just bust my chops, get everything done and then go home tomorrow at Noon. But, not before filing the appeal.

Sorry for the whining. Just thought I could use a little sympathy 'cause I sure ain't gettin' it here.

Lisa, I feel for you. My boss has NOT been in since he went to DC November 23 and got ill. He came in today because he had a board meeting and won't be back in until Tuesday (he's 83 and only works Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) and then will be gone until January 5. We crammed so much in today that my head is spinning and ready to fall off.

So you have my sympathy as I know exactly how your day is going. :headache:

If I didn't have so many years invested in the legal field, I'd say "I wanna be something else when I grow up.":lmao: But, I've been doing this for 26+ years now and I guess I'm considered grown up already.

I know that you can certainly sympathize as can all of my other Dis friends. Sometimes, it just feels good to hear it.;)

You have my deepest sympathies Lisa. I mean that from the bottom of my feet.:rotfl2: My boss is doing the same thing. He doesn't know I'm taking the day off tomorrow but he is so what's it to him. But he won't be back till Wed. so I have to be sure everything he needs done today is done. He has been waiting on his new laptop to arrive. He now has all the parts but no computer. He got upset yesterday cause he had parts come in and I didn't immediately buzz him. I told him he had patients to see. I knew he'd come out eventually. We work hard to keep him on task. So my new printer came and everytime I print in my billing software the software shuts down. I will have to call Monday and see how much that costs to fix. I never did get a bill for the lock on the door.

And I've been here 35+ years. I told Mark today that we should just both hang it up and move to Florida and work at Disney. :rotfl:

Can you just imagine what he would be trying to get you to do in the last hour of the workday if he knew you were going to be gone tomorrow?!?! Best you keep it a secret.

My boss is a real stickler on certain things. For instance, if an attorney calls, you interrupt him no matter what. Well, an attorney called today and the boss was on the phone with another attorney. I took a message and when he got off the phone I took it to him. He wanted to know why I didn't interrupt him for a call from an attorney. I had to explain to him that he was already on the phone with an attorney....why would I interrupt him for another attorney. Especially when the attorney who called was just calling to chat.

Yesterday, my boss got a crate of Florida oranges in the mail. They were too heavy for me to pick up when I was at the post office so I had some random man (at the post office too) put the crate in my car because it was so heavy. I get to the office and when the boss comes in I tell him the oranges are in my car and he needed to get them out. He got all upset because the oranges were supposed to come to our street address not our post office box. He wanted me to call them and demand to know why they didn't do it the right way. I just nodded my head and walked off. It was the strangest thing.....their line was busy all day long yesterday so I couldn't get an answer for him.:rolleyes1

Bosses!

John actually got offered a job while we were in Disney a few years back. John struck up a conversation with a Disney employee who was a supervisor on their building crew. He said he'd hire John in a minute. He would have taken it if my Mama would have agreed to move with us. Disney is my dream job!

That poor dear. Him coming in every little bit is what keeps him going.

I have been in medicine for 38 and I don't want to switch now. But I really am tired of it. The changes I have gone thru have been unbelievable.

I told you let's go. Don and I always thought we would winter in the Laughlin, NV area (south of Las Vegas) and we could get jobs working the casinos. I could count money:woohoo: and Don could be be a safe cracker, errrrrr, I meant to say guard. Slip of the keyboard.:rotfl2:

So instead he will retire and I will work. Thinking that's not right

Mark's too--he actually went to Casting on a business trip. He wants to work either in the Haunted Mansion or driving the monorial; you could put me anywhere -- I wouldn't care (except cleaning bathrooms--I've done enough of that for my lifetime) -- I'd be at Disney.

Have to wrap it up and catch the train (think I'll take a cab again). Have a good night.

I could work in Disney anywhere. Ok, no bathrooms or dishes but I'm pretty flexible as long as I don't have to sing.

Be careful Kathy.

Welcome to the trip report. I'm sorry that you aren't feeling well but I'm glad you are aboard. Oh my word....somebody went to Disney and you didn't go along. I think I'd have had to hide in a suitcase or something.

I remember when Lacey played softball. We used to go to Disney every year in May and we'd still have a lot of games left. The coaches would get so ticked off at us when we told them Lacey would miss a few games. She was a darn good catcher and they wanted her there. Oh well.....Disney always won!

Thanks...and it is my senior year and I have been on varsity since sophomore year so I have to stay...even though I feel like I lost the love to play on an organized team like this. We usually go in October but now my sister plays college softball and she plays in the Fall and Spring...but its all good we are going on a cruise without her, and later my graduation trip.

Lisa- I love those photos! Lacey is so pretty.
Your boss sounds...uhhh...ummmm...interesting to work with! :rotfl:

I can understand your feelings. Lacey played softball for years and years. Over time, it became more and more political.....pull out one kid who has been playing a position for a long time and replace them with the coach's kid or the sponsor's kid (even if they don't play that position as well). After a while, it started grating on Lacey's nerves as well as her Dad and I's. It was just not fair. Lacey tried to stick it out for one more year but she just couldn't do it. We stood behind her decision.

Where will you be going on your cruise? Ginny who is here on my report is a cruise expert and I'm sure she'd love to hear all about it. (as do the rest of us).

Thanks so much! When Lacey was little, I used to tell her all the time how pretty she was. John told me I was going to make her vain.

The boss is a odd man. He's super nice sometimes and then super weird at others. I usually just let things die down before approaching him.

Hey, Lisa! Hope you have a great day. You should almost be finished by now. It's Friday, half days, right?

You are right! Closing this baby up at Noon today. I have to go file the appeal before I leave for the day. The courthouse is just a half block from us so I can walk there, file the appeal and be back in no time at all.

We finally bought our Christmas tree last night. Every year, we say we are going to put it up early but don't. Since we get a real tree and it's only two weeks until Christmas, we didn't get a huge one. Just got a 7 foot one and it's not great big around. Not sure yet which decorations I'll use. You'll remember that I never ever have the same theme.

Will you and Mitchell be making the dough ornaments this weekend? I think he'll have the best time doing it.

Have a good day!

Aw, I can't wait to see what your theme will be this year! Be sure to post some pictures for us, okay?

I'm thinking that Mitchell and I will make those ornaments tomorrow. I have paint at home, but I'm not sure which ones I have. Some of those may be dried up by now, I don't know! So I guess it will depend if I have paint or not. I may let him use markers, if it comes down to it. That would probably be easier for him. And mommy will have some homemade ornaments for her tree! :thumbsup2

Enjoy your weekend! Stay warm. We never even made it to forty degrees today.
