Stop Making Me Laugh Or I'll Pee My Pants! Go Back! I Lost My Shoe! Trip Report!

I'm amazed John didn't hollar at the guy that he was on his way to see his supervisor for blocking the entrance. I am glad you are getting so much in after a huge meal.

I am sorta surprised that John fell asleep on the boat. NOT. Don would have barely made it on the boat let alone for it to start moving.

Have a great day today. Raining once again.

Ginny

fun update!!!:stitch:

what a jerk!!!I think the college kids that they recruit are not always what they are recruited to be :confused3
Have a great day!!! :wave2:
BTW I see you and Leanne found one another :yay:

Hi, Lisa!!!! Sorry I've been MIA on you, but I can't keep up with everybody these days. I just want to say that I am so glad that you posted those pics of WL. I love the Wilderness and miss it! Your pictures brought me "home". I honestly felt like I was right there with you.

Your food pics looked delish - I've never eaten there before, but I've always wanted to. Now I know I'll have to go back and give it a try.

Sorry the only bracelet you wanted was all stretched out. That stinks. At least your hubby found something pretty cool! :thumbsup2

I love, love, love the boat rides in Disney. I love how it just feels like another ride and I like how they pipe the Disney songs onto the boat. It just makes you feel so "disney". I don't know of any other way to put it, honestly. :goodvibes I just love it.

You got some great pictures in the MK, too. I would have been bummed too, like Lacey, if I could not have ridden the TTA. I love that ride. Don't know why, but it's just one of my faves. I could ride it half the day!

Poo to the CM who wouldn't let you go under the chains in the non-existent line. ANd he's gonna "let you go this time". What is he? A cop? :rotfl:

Loving the updates. Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I'll do better next time.

Oh, and in regard to your minnie antenna, I have a good eye for all things Disney! They just kind of jump out at me. :wizard:

It took a while but I am caught up again... Man I can't miss one single day on this thread - y'all are busy! I have got to get better!

Hi Lisa,

Glad you enjoyed the WCC!! The food looks so yummy, especially the desserts..mmm....;)

Aww...I just love MK at night.:cloud9: How cool that Hunter's joke was chosen again in Laugh Floor.:thumbsup2 ---and that's just crazy that the CM told you not to go under the chains when there was a non-existent line.:sad2: That's too bad that he had to act that way, yet there he was blocking the entrance because he was too busy chatting away.

Can't wait for more!!popcorn:: (I'll try to do a better job of keeping up;))

MORE GREAT UPDATES...AS USUAL!
I just love Wilderness Lodge. At least what I have seen of it so far.

Lisa, I am so enjoying your report. I have enjoyed every picture too. I know you are having problems with Photobucket. Have you ever tried Shutterfly? I use them and have never had a problem. Just a thought.

Can't wait for more.

How do you post pics from shutterfly here? I always hear of people doing it, but have no clue how. LOL!

Hey! Jen
I posted some pics of Ashton from the weekend on my PTR; OH a few of our version of fall :lmao:

I did not know you could post from shutterfly?!?

Hey Lisa! Great update! I wanted to let you know that I'm staying at WL in January & can look for one of those bracelets for you if you want.
Now that I know all of you guys are going in May, I might have to sneak in a weekend trip just to meet everyone! How cool would a Star Wars weekend meet be???

Hiya
Thought I would come over and check it out. WCC looked good. I have heard mixed things but I think my hubby would enjoy it. Glad we can plan together for May.

Good Morning Lisa and gang!

I've been quiet lately (well, except on my own thread :p) but I've been mostly keeping up.

Not much to add though, great updates as always. Would really love to try WL one of these days, but it's just not in the cards (or the bank account) right now ><. I have been to the original version over in Yellowstone (we ate there, we didn't stay there though, we were staying in the cabins at Old Faithful that trip), I can only imagine the Disneyfied version of it.

Love all the pictures, going to see if I can get better this next trip, since I don't have to worry about keeping up with anyone and I can sit in front of a random tree for hours on end getting it perfect if I want to!

Enjoy the rest of the day!

Good morning Lisa!

I love the MK at night! So beautiful and magical with all the lights...it's my favorite time to be there.

Buzz is on of my family's favorite rides! My scores always leave a bit to be desired, but it's so fun!

Ahh..Stitch. You either love him or hate him. We love him! I'm not a huge fan of the ride, but we ride it anyway. Isaiah and Stitch are like kindred spirits!

Good morning Lisa. Hope all is well with you today. Raining now but we are to have sun this afternoon. I will keep my fingers crossed. I'm anxious to see it once more.

Have a grand day.

Ginny

Great update! We watched fireworks from Tommorwland on our last night in May and it was really fantastic. We weren't crowded and tink flew right over top of us which thrilled the girls.

Boo to the rude CM at Buzz. My husband probably wouldn't have been as nice as yours.

Lisa, I'm here from "the site which shall not be named." I'm guessing its based in Nazi Germany.... Anyway- thanks for showing me this place. It's much more "me.":flower3:

Welcome to the Dis. We are very friendly and do chat a bit. It may take some getting used to. Lisa will be back shortly. She's making her afternoon rounds.

Again we friends of Lisa unite and welcome you.

I could have had that smores cheesecake. No fair you all going next May. When I found out that Connie and I were there at the same time last year I all but was thankful we didn't know each other then. If I knew one of my friends was there when I was and we didn't meet I would be very disheartened. Don insists no vacay next year. If it gets him to retire next Dec I'm all for it. He is finally back to 8 hr days after his injury and not liking it one bit. I think that injury was a godsend. As does he. It has made him realize that life is not all about work.

Maybe that injury was a blessing in disguise....it made him wise up and recognize what's really important in life. Not that he didn't already know....you know what I am trying to say.

The food at WCC looks fabulous! The only thing that stopped us from eating there on our 2007 trip was the transportation situation. We were new to the whole thing and had heard that going from resort to resort was not easy so we stuck to restaurants in the parks. This past year we were on the QSDP and the only meal we paid for OOP was a character meal. It's definitely on the list for our next visit!

Have Lacey and Hunter always been close? My boys argue and bicker all of the time and I really hope someday they will enjoy each other's company!

The Wilderness Lodge doesn't do much for me either. It's pretty, don't get me wrong, but I'd stay at other deluxe resorts before I tried that one.

Where are you off to next?? popcorn::

This year was our first year to eat at a Disney resort. Like you, I was always afraid to try it because of the transportation issues I had read about. It really was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be.

I think your family would enjoy the Whispering Canyon meal. Even Hunter, picky as he is, was able to find something he liked.

When I had Hunter, Lacey was 10. Everybody told us that Lacey would be jealous when the baby came along. Well, she was jealous but not in the way that everybody thought she would be. She was jealous when somebody took Hunter away from her. She wanted him all to herself. They do sometimes get on each other's nerves but it's only because Hunter clings to her. He thinks she is the best thing that ever walked this Earth.

I am sure that your boys will grow out of the bickering.....in another ten-fifteen years or so. Just kidding....John and his siblings are close in age (there are 6 of them) and he said they bickered all the time but when if anybody tried to come between them, they'd stick together like glue.

The Wilderness Lodge is beautiful. If I am going to pay deluxe prices, I want something that doesn't look like home. I think that's why we have always overlooked the Port Orleans resorts. Too many places around Louisiana that look like the resort. Thank goodness there are lots of Disney resorts to choose from.

Hi Lisa! Loving your updates!! DH and I absolutely LOVE the food at Wispering Canyon! We have been there twice. One of the times being on our honeymoon. Both times we were seated in that same section you all were sitting. We too missed out on all the fun! This is the only thing that bugs me at Disney. Sometimes I feel if you don't have little children with you, they don't "mess" with you! Every trip I have ever taken to Disney, my family and I go to the 50s Prime Time Cafe! Well, the first time I took DH, then BF, to the Prime Time, not a thing went on! I was so disappointed. That has happened several times to us. Finally, in 2007, we went to Disney with my parents and two brothers. My youngest brother was about 16 at the time, looked about 13 though! They finally "messed" with us at the Prime Time!!! It was SO funny! But low and behold, in 2008, on our honeymoon, we got nothing! :confused3 I just don't get it! Anyway. Glad to see you enjoyed the meal! SO yummy there!!! Can't wait to read more!

I think Disney is so focused on catering to the children, maybe it's hard for them to focus on the adults sometimes.

OH NO :scared1::eek:. He better not make you change your dates. Tell him you have a very important meeting in Orlando, that you are the President of the U.S. chapter of MOMs (Mouse obsessed Moms), and that it is the annual convention for all officers.........:lmao::rotfl:

The boss just doesn't understand my enthusiasm for Disney World. He's never been and has no desire, whatsoever, to go. I showed him some of my pictures from our last trip and he was in shock. He had no idea how detailed and bright and clean and pretty it was.

He hasn't said anything else about me changing my vacation dates. If he does, I'm probably going to be standing on top of his desk jumping up and down!

Thanks!

I love the WCC. We had a good time and i loved the shakes as well as dessert! I really could go for some cheesecake right now. I wish I lived close to a cheesecake factory!

The cheesecake does sound pretty good doesn't it. We ate at the Cheesecake Factory when it was still in Disney Quest......Yummy!

Just catching up on a lot of posts today. I hope your boss doesn't ask you to change your dates either. I've not told my boss yet when we want to go next year. I know he "missed" me when I was gone this year and not sure with him turning 84 if he can handle it again.

I'm glad you enjoyed your meal at the WCC. We sat in the exact same spot when we were there last year. Unfortunately, our meal (we had the skillet too) was awful and we won't be going back (and I won't even mention how awful the service was).

I was wondering where you were. I figured you were having a busy day at the office like I was.

The boss hasn't said another thing about changing my vacation dates. We've always gone to Disney the last week of May and the first week of June.....up until 2008 when I changed jobs and had to reschedule for August. Well, the boss thought that August was a good time for me to be out of the office and I scheduled our 2009 trip for August. I wanna go back like we used to. The vacation is booked but if he insists, I can always change it to August.

I hate to hear that you didn't enjoy your meal at Whispering Canyon. Everything on the skillet was very good when we went. I am not a rib eater so I didn't try them. John and Lacey did and said they were tasty. Like I said, our waitress came around several times to check on us.

Lisa, I am so enjoying your report. I have enjoyed every picture too. I know you are having problems with Photobucket. Have you ever tried Shutterfly? I use them and have never had a problem. Just a thought.

Can't wait for more.

I'm glad that you are having a good time reading!

I think Photobucket and my office computer don't jive for some reason. At home, I hardly have any problems at all.

I think we sat in the same place as you did, and had the same server, last Sept. I think we missed out a bit on the fun. Or, at least I did - the kids went out and took part in some of it, and DH took pics, but I stayed behind with the little guy. Oh, and Hedda actually had to drag my older two out for the ketchup thing, and she ended up screaming it instead because they wouldn't. :rotfl2: But Haley LOVED delivering to others, of course.

Glad you had another good meal. We ended up taking our desserts (apple pie - REALLY good) back to the room to eat with us. DH still talks about their bottomless milk shakes. He enjoyed the bubblegum one (yuck, I say, but there you go...).

Great update!

When I think back on the meal, I'm a little bit glad that we were seated where we were. The main room was soooo packed full of people that we could hardly get through to leave the restaurant.

If we had not been going to the Magic Kingdom after our meal, I would have had our desserts packed up to go too. They were that good.

Hi, I love reading your trip reports. This is the 2nd one i have read. I didn't realize that until the ghost update. Work has been so slow it's nice to have something to read. I just have to remember not to LOL which is hard to do when reading this report:lmao:. I can't wait to read more.popcorn::

Howdy! I'm glad that you are enjoying the report. We are a pretty crazy family and have a great time together.

I never worry about laughing out loud when I am reading trip reports....people already look at me funny.:rolleyes1

Hi there! Connie (longing2Batdisney) suggested I come over and check out your report. She was right, it is fantastic! We were considering WCC but I think you have persuaded us to give it a shot. Thanks for the great pics and details. :goodvibes

Welcome! I've already subscribed to your pre-trip report too! As you can see, we are a pretty lively bunch over here.

I'd definitely give the Whispering Canyon a shot. It was nice to get away from the parks and eat something "different".....well, differently for my bunch of picky eaters.;)

Glad you enjoyed WCC! We ate their last December and thought everything was really good. We got a kick out of the ketchup deal.

I knew about the ketchup thing ahead of time and was hoping that Hunter would get a kick out of it.

My mom has a place in Winter Haven, Fl. which is not far from Disney. We would go see her and one of her husbands at the time and go to Cypress Gardens. It was so pretty. So one year brother Gary took her and one of them to Epcot. Mom was amazed. She had never even been near Disney but she thought it would be set up like a circus and everything out in tents. Nothing permanent. She told Gary she was glad she went but had no desire to go back. Brother Tom has the place in Fl now and he and his older son and family were at Disney when we were there. We just didn't find time to get together. The were there 5 days, 2 Disney, 1 Sea World, 1 to Venice Beach and 1 playing golf while the wife and kids sat. Way too much stuff to do in such a short amount of time. I will never forget my first visit in 74.
