Stop Making Me Laugh Or I'll Pee My Pants! Go Back! I Lost My Shoe! Trip Report!

Sigh, I realize you started your TR and it’s 36 pages long already? Jeesh!

That’s what I get for being MIA 3 weekends in a row, it makes one unbearably behind!

I am so sorry to read about the accident, how awful and traumatizing.

I can’t see your pictures before 9/2, (full photobucket) but love the ones after that date, especially Lacey and Hunter jumping with Spaceship earth in the background.

I love that you both picked a pearl and please please post pictures of the finished product!

Just getting caught up after a few days of computer trouble (yuck!) and I wanted to comment. My DH has seizures too (Absence/petit mal ones), he is on 3 meds (on top of 2 B/P meds), he has had many changes to them over the years. Thank God that he seems to have found the combination that works for him. Unfortunately, he will never be completely seizure free so he can't drive, (it does put a lot on me that way) but luckily they are not that noticeable. He tends to get a little irritable too, I never thought it may be from his levels being off, I just attributed it to the seizures themselves. He also used to fall asleep any chance he got, especially in movies, etc, but he has gotten better since he got his C-Pap (for his sleep apnea).

So between last night and my breaks here at work, I read through your whole trip report! Aren't you proud of me?

Anyway, we also did pick-a-pearl - since we were there for our Honeymoon, but it coincided with our anniversary, we did it on the day of our anniversary. I made a pendant from it. The lady two ahead of me got twins, and the lady right before me got a very pretty light blue one. We have a jewelry store here that we love, so we're getting the chain from there in a few days.

I loved your CBR pictures - a lot of it actually looks like POR, especially the check-in area and the docks.

There was more I was going to say, I think, but I got distracted by the pick-a-pearl, I think! Anyway, can't wait to read more!

Hey, I was just reading someone's trip report and she was saying that she picked a pearl with twins in it. I believe she was there from 8/25-9/1. That would be so cool if that was the woman you saw! :goodvibes

Hi Lisa! Great update! I keep reading about the Pick a Pearl...I just may have to try it on our next trip! How sweet that you did that for Lacey.

Nice that you and John got a little snuggle time. Ok...so maybe in that heat there was no snuggling, but you know what I mean!

:yay: I'm finally all caught up. What a great EPCOT day! I love the photos of the kids jumping in the air in front of SSE- they definitely put a smile on my face. Can't wait to read more!

We were there at the stand on 9/2, so I don't think it was her. But that's awesome, still. Nice to know that someone on the DIS got twins too - I am amazed at how many of us do it, they must make huge amounts of money from it!

I am glad you decided to come over for a read and actually post instead of just lurking. I absolutely love hearing the thoughts of my readers.

Isn't the CBR just gorgeous! We instantly fell in love with the place 4 years ago.

Are you of the paralegal business now? I always say I want to be something else when I grow up but I have too many years in it already.:lmao:

We really did love CBR and I wish we were staying there on our upcoming trip. *Sigh*

No, I'm not in the paralegal business anymore. I work for the military (civil service) in contracting (I used to negotiate and write contracts, now I'm an advisor). Still hope to go to law school someday, but that's years off in the future.

You have to go to Olive Garden -- we love it there!

We also got a lot done on our first Epcot day -- it wasn't very crowded and it was wonderful. We did pick-a-pearl -- it was one of my older DD's birthday gifts (her birthday was a month after our trip). She got a 7.5 mm pearl and had it set in a ring (an inexpensive setting). We've decided to have it reset in a real white gold setting in a few years when she turns 18 (as long as she doesn't lose it before then, LOL). Then our younger DD decided she wanted to do the pick a pearl also and she ended up witha 7.5 mm pearl that looked identical to her sister's. She picked a silver swirled cage for hers -- based on your description and the price, I think she and you picked the same one!

My younger DD did one of the Kim Possible missions but got bored about halfway through and gave up on it. It just wasn't that exciting or interesting to her. I was really hoping she would like it. Oh well!

Well, poo. I came over here to FINALLY get caught up on your report and your photobucket pics aren't showing. Darn the luck!

Well, I take that back. The update I was looking at wasn't showing, but another one does have pics, so I may just have to skip the pictures on that one and keep reading! :confused3

Good morning Lisa. Yes, it is still morning. Hope you are having a grand Wednesday. Getting ready to balance the work bank account. Finally got July's done. I never got the statement till the end of August. So for now that is my task, then desk cleaning for real this time. It is a disaster and I don't even like sitting here. Feeling all claustrophobic.

I really want to do the Pick a Pearl on my trip in October. I didn't know the settings they had were so reasonable! Did you happen to take pictures of your setting?

Hi! Lisa
hope your day is going smoothly...that we have not heard from you as of yet!
Hope the rest of your day is a good one!!!
:wave2:
P.S. sounds like you need to pull out the camera and share your pearl with us by popluar demand!;)

Good morning ......er..........afternoon. My morning flew by. That Tuesday after holiday is so busy. I am now at my desk in cleaning mode again. I haven't touched it since Thursday. I worked at Christine's desk Friday and this morning. Maybe I can get in a groove. Have a great day. I am going in 15 min. to get some lunch and stop at the library for a new book.

I know I am late on replying but I must have confirmation from you that you didn't skip lunch again. Mama is just asking.;)

I'd love to see photos of the pearls! I'm thinking of doing this myself when I go in February.

For years and years, I passed right on by the pick a pearl spot. But, after reading about other people's experiences, I knew I wanted to do it. I am so glad I did. It was fun and it was relatively inexpensive.

I wanna pick a pearl on my next trip=]

I'm going home tonight and taking a picture of my necklace. It's so pretty.

Heck yeah, I'm proud!

I'd love to have gotten a blue pearl. They did have some grey pearls that they were setting for another person. They were so pretty. I have several sterling silver chains so I just bought a swirl pendant cage thingie for my pearl.

Thanks for the compliment on the CBR pictures. The pictures do not do the resort justice. It's just so darn pretty.

YAY, i'm all caught up! can't wait for more :)

Glad that you're caught up which is more than I can say for my own self. It seems like I have gotten behind on reading the reports I've subsccribed to as well as posting on my own.

It's okay, at least you are here now. The accident was a horrific thing to witness. It seems to pop up in my mind at least two or three times a week.

I'm sorry about the photobucket exceeding bandwidth message. Hopefully, you'll be able to go back soon and look at the pics.

It took us a while to get a couple of good shots of the kids jumping and we got some crazy looks but I didn't care!

Just getting caught up after a few days of computer trouble (yuck!) and I wanted to comment. I see that you know exactly what I am talking about when I say I wouldn't wish epilepsy on even my worst enemy. It's just hard to deal with, isn't it? The neurologist changes John's meds up every so often because he seems to get immune to some of them after a time. Right now, he seems to be doing okay.

John usually gets irritable when he's overly tired, in the mornings when his morning meds haven't quit kicked in yet or late in the evenings when he's been going all day long. I"ve learned to keep an eye on what time of the day these things happen and then report them to his doctor.

A lot of his meds make him drowsy. He's okay if he's busy but let him sit down, get cooled off in an air conditioner and he's out like a light. I can handle him falling asleep so long as the seizures are kept at bay.

Hey, I was just reading someone's trip report and she was saying that she picked a pearl with twins in it. I believe she was there from 8/25-9/1. That would be so cool if that was the woman you saw! :goodvibes

I looked all over Disney World for any fellow Disers and never saw one. Well, one that had lime green Mickey heads anywhere on them. Wouldn't it have been cool if it was a fellow Diser who had picked the twin pearls right ahead of me.

Hi Lisa! Great update! I keep reading about the Pick a Pearl...I just may have to try it on our next trip! How sweet that you did that for Lacey.

Nice that you and John got a little snuggle time. Ok...so maybe in that heat there was no snuggling, but you know what I mean!

I had read about picking a pearl too and thought it would be something unique to do. Lacey isn't a really foo-foo type of girl and doesn't wear much jewelry so I didn't know if she'd want one of the rings or not. So, when she said she really liked them, I knew we'd have to get her one.

I know what you mean about a little snuggle time. It was to hot to snuggle but it was nice to just sit for a little while together.

:yay: I'm finally all caught up. What a great EPCOT day! I love the photos of the kids jumping in the air in front of SSE- they definitely put a smile on my face. Can't wait to read more!

I thought the jumping pictures were pretty cute myself. I smile every time I see them. I'm going to blow one of them up and have it framed for Lacey to take back with her to Georgia when she comes home for Thanksgiving.

We were there at the stand on 9/2, so I don't think it was her. But that's awesome, still. Nice to know that someone on the DIS got twins too - I am amazed at how many of us do it, they must make huge amounts of money from it!

John and I said they must x-ray the oysters to assure that they have pearls in them.

I have had lunch yesterday and today momma. Thanks for inquiring. Soup today. Rain and drizzle here today. Bank account reconciled so off to bigger and better projects. We are all ready for more pictures please. Have a great afternoon.

Years ago, my brother-in-law (at the time) offered to help me pay for law school if I wanted to go. I had already been working in a law office for 10 years and I knew that I'd never want to be an attorney. I wanna be something else when I grow up!:lmao:

I think it would be awesome to take the pearl and set it in a real gold setting. Lacey doesn't like yellow gold at all so she was more than happy to just get a sterling silver setting. Wait a minute.....what's that? Oh, it was my pocketbook saying it liked the fact that Lacey liked the sterling silver setting too.:rotfl:

I used to watch Kim Possible with the kids and could even sing the naked mole rat song so I thought I'd like the Kim Possible missions. Even the kids said it wasn't as fun as they thought it would be.:confused3

Hey girl! How was the trip to Tennessee? I wanna hear all about it and see pictures too.

Sorry that you can't see some of the pictures. Apparently, the pictures have been looked at so much that I have exceeded a limit. They are supposed to be back up soon.

I absolutely hate reconciling bank statements. That's why I do almost all my banking online. Much easier to keep up with everything. The office bank statements are done by an accountant, thank goodness.

I really want to do the Pick a Pearl on my trip in October. I didn't know the settings they had were so reasonable! Did you happen to take pictures of your setting?

I didn't know they were that reasonable either. I was quite pleased as was my pocketbook! I'll take a picture of my pendant setting and post it tomorrow.

Sorry I haven't been posting until now. I sent the boss to Baton Rouge at Noon today. He won't be back in the office until Monday! I've still got a lot of stuff to get off my desk but at least he's gone!

I was going to take a picture of my pearl last night and then John's brother came over and that plan went out the window.

I have had lunch yesterday and today momma. Thanks for inquiring. Soup today. Rain and drizzle here today. Bank account reconciled so off to bigger and better projects. We are all ready for more pictures please. Have a great afternoon.

Well done my girl! The temps here have risen again. I was getting quite used to having mornings in the mid-60s and the afternoons in the 80s. Now, we are back to temps of 93.

I'm hoping to get the office cleaned up while the boss is away. I sure can't do it while he's here.

Goodness gracious alive! It took me a while to catch up with all your posts. The boss left after lunch to go to Baton Rouge and won't return until Monday. I've got a lot of stuff to get done here but at least I can do it without hearing....."Lisa, dear, will you come hither a minute!" (yes, he says hither because he thinks it's funny) or "Lisa, did we do (insert something)?" or something similar.

For those of you who came over from my first trip report, ya'll will remember that my office building is the home of a ghost or two. For those of you who didn't follow the first report, now you know that my office building has a ghost or two. We've still have all the usual stuff happening.....doors opening without the bells ringing, doorlocks being unlocked when we know good and well they were locked, little things being moved about and the almost ever present smoke smell.

John and his brother had to come to the office last night to hang a campaign sign from the second floor balcony. John's brother is the one who helped John work on the building before we moved in. He and John are the ones who kept telling me that there were ghosts here (before we had actually moved our office over here). Anyway, they came over last night to hang the sign and before they left home, they were laughing about having to go upstairs to the uninhabited part of the building. They said "we'll probably turn around and there will be a ghost there."

I'm sitting in the living room last night watching Hell's Kitchen and I hear John and Mac (the brother) pull up. They come in and said "you're never going to believe what we found upstairs." They started telling me how they had run into my boss's parents who were leaving to go out for a while. (so, we know they weren't in the building) John and Mac came into my office to put their tools down and they smelled smoke. Ya'll know my ghost(s) like to smoke. Mac started freaking out a little and told John that they needed to hurry up and get the sign hung and get out of here.

So, they go upstairs to the second floor and make their way towards the balcony. (There's tons of junk stored upstairs.) They heard a few knocks/bumps and they smelled the smoke again and turned around AND..........

.......there's a skeleton standing there!:eek::eek: It took them a minute to figure out that it was one of those skeletons that you see in a doctor's office. It was hanging on one of those steel rod things. My boss' dad used to do a lot of personal injury cases and used it in court. It scared them to death!:lmao: After their heart stopped racing, Mac stood by the skeleton and John took his picture with Mac's cell phone.

They climb out onto the balcony and hung the sign which took a little while because the sign is a large 4'x8' board. They climbed back in the window and smelled smoke again. And they looked and..........

........ the skeleton was turned around facing the opposite direction!:eek::eek:

Needless to say, they packed up their crap and came home! Mac says he's never coming back over here. I say they must be good ghosts or they would have already done something mean to us.

Okay, so I've provided you guys with a ghost update. Now, I am going to type up a little more of our Epcot day. I have to be at the courthouse before 4:00 p.m. which means I have about 35 minutes to write the installment and find the pictures on photobucket. I better get started.
