Stop Making Me Laugh Or I'll Pee My Pants! Go Back! I Lost My Shoe! Trip Report!

I'm amazed John didn't hollar at the guy that he was on his way to see his supervisor for blocking the entrance. I am glad you are getting so much in after a huge meal.

I am sorta surprised that John fell asleep on the boat. NOT. Don would have barely made it on the boat let alone for it to start moving.

Have a great day today. Raining once again.

Ginny

If he weren't at Disney, John probably would have said something other than what he did.

I am surprised that it took a few minutes before John was asleep. I swear that man can sleep anywhere!

fun update!!!:stitch:

what a jerk!!!I think the college kids that they recruit are not always what they are recruited to be :confused3
Have a great day!!! :wave2:
BTW I see you and Leanne found one another :yay:

This castmember was probably in his late 20s but was, indeed, a jerk!

Thanks for sending Leanne over!

Hi, Lisa!!!! Sorry I've been MIA on you, but I can't keep up with everybody these days. I just want to say that I am so glad that you posted those pics of WL. I love the Wilderness and miss it! Your pictures brought me "home". I honestly felt like I was right there with you.

Your food pics looked delish - I've never eaten there before, but I've always wanted to. Now I know I'll have to go back and give it a try.

Sorry the only bracelet you wanted was all stretched out. That stinks. At least your hubby found something pretty cool! :thumbsup2

I love, love, love the boat rides in Disney. I love how it just feels like another ride and I like how they pipe the Disney songs onto the boat. It just makes you feel so "disney". I don't know of any other way to put it, honestly. :goodvibes I just love it.

You got some great pictures in the MK, too. I would have been bummed too, like Lacey, if I could not have ridden the TTA. I love that ride. Don't know why, but it's just one of my faves. I could ride it half the day!

Poo to the CM who wouldn't let you go under the chains in the non-existent line. ANd he's gonna "let you go this time". What is he? A cop? :rotfl:

Loving the updates. Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I'll do better next time.

Oh, and in regard to your minnie antenna, I have a good eye for all things Disney! They just kind of jump out at me. :wizard:

I've been having a hard time keeping up with all my subscribed reports too so don't feel bad one tiny bit!

I think we were more bummed about the TTA being closed than we were Space Mountain. We always always do the TTA at least twice.

The "let you go this time" comment was the one that I thought would send John over the edge. Surprisingly, it didn't.

I love my Minnie antennae topper. It helps me find my car when I am at Wal-Mart.:thumbsup2

It took a while but I am caught up again... Man I can't miss one single day on this thread - y'all are busy! I have got to get better!

Don't feel bad at all. I've been having a heckofa time catching up on all the ones I am subscribed to.

I was wondering where you were. I figured you were having a busy day at the office like I was.

The boss hasn't said another thing about changing my vacation dates. We've always gone to Disney the last week of May and the first week of June.....up until 2008 when I changed jobs and had to reschedule for August. Well, the boss thought that August was a good time for me to be out of the office and I scheduled our 2009 trip for August. I wanna go back like we used to. The vacation is booked but if he insists, I can always change it to August.

I hate to hear that you didn't enjoy your meal at Whispering Canyon. Everything on the skillet was very good when we went. I am not a rib eater so I didn't try them. John and Lacey did and said they were tasty. Like I said, our waitress came around several times to check on us.

Busy day at the office, problems with Markie and his car (the car got hit...he wasn't in it, thank God), my husband is having some medical problem (it's all explained in my "What Would You Do" thread.

We could have had a bad night at the WCC...but it was so bad that I just don't think I could go back. And poor Mark got sick after eating the ribs and the chicken -- greasy, fatty, undercooked (I never touched those items as I didn't care for anything before that). I think our waitress may have been new...don't know...but we were there for 2 hours...just the two of us with no antics and we never even ordered dessert. But I'm glad you guys enjoyed it.

Hi Lisa,

Glad you enjoyed the WCC!! The food looks so yummy, especially the desserts..mmm....;)

Aww...I just love MK at night.:cloud9: How cool that Hunter's joke was chosen again in Laugh Floor.:thumbsup2 ---and that's just crazy that the CM told you not to go under the chains when there was a non-existent line.:sad2: That's too bad that he had to act that way, yet there he was blocking the entrance because he was too busy chatting away.

Can't wait for more!!popcorn:: (I'll try to do a better job of keeping up;))

Our stomachs were soooo full when we left Whispering Canyon but everything was so tasty.

I love the Magic Kingdom when it's all lit up at night too. Just so pretty. Hunter thought he was the bomb when his joke got chosen. He said the other day that he was already thinking up another corny joke for The Laugh Floor.

Great update, Lisa.

Thanks Kathy!

MORE GREAT UPDATES...AS USUAL!
I just love Wilderness Lodge. At least what I have seen of it so far.

How do you post pics from shutterfly here? I always hear of people doing it, but have no clue how. LOL!

I'd love to know too!

Hey Lisa! Great update! I wanted to let you know that I'm staying at WL in January & can look for one of those bracelets for you if you want.
Now that I know all of you guys are going in May, I might have to sneak in a weekend trip just to meet everyone! How cool would a Star Wars weekend meet be???

I actually ended up finding a bracelet later on in the trip. Thanks though. I would love to have you come up and meet us. Hunter is keeping his fingers crossed that they will schedule Star Wars Weekend when we are there.

Hiya
Thought I would come over and check it out. WCC looked good. I have heard mixed things but I think my hubby would enjoy it. Glad we can plan together for May.

Hey there! Welcome to all the chatter! I had read mixed reviews too but am glad that we gave it a try.

Good Morning Lisa and gang!

I've been quiet lately (well, except on my own thread :p) but I've been mostly keeping up.

Not much to add though, great updates as always. Would really love to try WL one of these days, but it's just not in the cards (or the bank account) right now ><. I have been to the original version over in Yellowstone (we ate there, we didn't stay there though, we were staying in the cabins at Old Faithful that trip), I can only imagine the Disneyfied version of it.

Love all the pictures, going to see if I can get better this next trip, since I don't have to worry about keeping up with anyone and I can sit in front of a random tree for hours on end getting it perfect if I want to!

Enjoy the rest of the day!

Hey Allan! Don't feel bad about not posting in a while. I hadn't even posted on my own thread until now. Been busy trying to get the boss out of town and out of my hair!

Good morning Lisa!

I love the MK at night! So beautiful and magical with all the lights...it's my favorite time to be there.

Buzz is on of my family's favorite rides! My scores always leave a bit to be desired, but it's so fun!

Ahh..Stitch. You either love him or hate him. We love him! I'm not a huge fan of the ride, but we ride it anyway. Isaiah and Stitch are like kindred spirits!

The Magic Kingdom becomes a whole 'nother place at night.....just magical! We have to ride Buzz at least twice every trip just to see who gets the highest score!:thumbsup2

John is on the "hate him" list. Hunter is on the "love him" list.

Good morning Lisa. Hope all is well with you today. Raining now but we are to have sun this afternoon. I will keep my fingers crossed. I'm anxious to see it once more.

Have a grand day.

Ginny

The weather forecast here is for storms tomorrow. The river is still rising but, you know what? They took the flood wall down. :confused3

Great update! We watched fireworks from Tommorwland on our last night in May and it was really fantastic. We weren't crowded and tink flew right over top of us which thrilled the girls.

Boo to the rude CM at Buzz. My husband probably wouldn't have been as nice as yours.

It was nice to watch the fireworks from somewhere other than Main Street. Last year, we watched them behind the castle which was......different.

I couldn't believe the castmember was so rude to us. We are definitely not line jumpers and would have never gone under a chain to break in line but there was NO ONE outside the building.

Lisa, I'm here from "the site which shall not be named." I'm guessing its based in Nazi Germany.... Anyway- thanks for showing me this place. It's much more "me.":flower3:

Hip Hooray! We have a new reader and friend! Glad you've come over and joined in.

Welcome to the Dis. We are very friendly and do chat a bit. It may take some getting used to. Lisa will be back shortly. She's making her afternoon rounds.

Again we friends of Lisa unite and welcome you.

Ginny

Thanks Ginny!

My mom has a place in Winter Haven, Fl. which is not far from Disney. We would go see her and one of her husbands at the time and go to Cypress Gardens. It was so pretty. So one year brother Gary took her and one of them to Epcot. Mom was amazed. She had never even been near Disney but she thought it would be set up like a circus and everything out in tents. Nothing permanent. She told Gary she was glad she went but had no desire to go back. Brother Tom has the place in Fl now and he and his older son and family were at Disney when we were there. We just didn't find time to get together. The were there 5 days, 2 Disney, 1 Sea World, 1 to Venice Beach and 1 playing golf while the wife and kids sat. Way too much stuff to do in such a short amount of time. I will never forget my first visit in 74.

I have a lot of friends who think that Disney is just an amusement park like Six Flags or something. It's hard to explain Disney World to them. It's one of those things that you just have to see.

We took my Mama with us Thanksgiving, 2000 and stayed a whole week. She said she's glad she went but doesn't think she'll ever go back 'cause she can't keep up with us. We're still trying to convince her to go with us though.

The last couple of days have been pretty busy for me too. I am sorry that you and your family are having such bad times. I'll keep you all in my prayers and am sending :grouphug: your way.

We had a really really bad meal at the ABC Commissary a few years ago and just can't make ourselves go back so I know how you feel.

My goodness gracious...it took me forever to catch up with my own report.

Today's been pretty busy. I took my boss to the airport this morning. He's off to Chicago to see David Gray in concert. I thought after I got him out of the office, things would slow down. NOT! I've had one crisis after another.....somebody didn't pay their child support, somebody didn't pay their car note and it's being repossessed, somebody had the police called on them by an ex. Ahhhh, a day in the life of a paralegal.

In my down time, what little I had of it, I uploaded pictures to Kodak Gallery. They have a 9 cent print special going on right now. And, if you are a new customer, they give you a $15.00 discount on your order. So.....since I have four email addresses, I opened four accounts and received four $15.00 discounts. So far, I have placed two orders. One had 227 pictures and my total was $12.91. :woohoo: The second had 229 pictures and it was only $10.14. :yay: I don't know why it was cheaper but it was. I'm not going to question it. ;) They are going to be mailed to me instead of me picking them up locally.

When I ordered my pictures from Snapfish, I paid I think about $130.00 for 669 pictures. :scared1:

Hopefully, tomorrow, I can download (or is it upload?) more pictures to the Kodak Gallery site. I really want to get all of my Disney pictures printed.

Haven't you been the busy one. What a deal on the pictures. I had all the ones I wanted then the girls came and took them all. Sandi said she would bring back the ones she didn't want but forgot. I bet it will be Thanksgiving before I get them now.

On my way to soccer. Have a great evening.

Ginny

Mama made us all a scrapbook last year for Christmas. In each, there was an 11 x 13 (I think that's the size) picture of each of us. My sister said she could copy them on their copy machine at the Convention Center. She took them with her and we haven't seen them since. I'll have to remind her to bring them back to us this Thanksgiving.

Tell the soccer boys good luck!

Ooh - those prices at Kodak sound good. We usually do Walgreens and pick them up, or Shutterfly, but I might just have to try Kodak this time. I'm still printing pictures to scrapbook from our trip a year ago...

That CM was just rude. Maybe it's the ride. DH and I were surpised last fall when we rode Buzz - there was absolutely no one else in line, and they wouldn't let us just stay on and ride again. We had to walk out and then all the way back through the lines. Maybe they just stick the grumpy ones there? :confused3

We're going to get to the point where we can enjoy the lack of lines during Spectro. Right now, with my kiddos, if we're not watching it we're heading back to the hotel! Glad you were able to sneak a few in!

I was really surprised how cheap I could get the pictures printed on the Kodak Gallery website. Usually, websites try to throw in extra costs. There were no extra costs!

Don't feel bad about not having your pictures done from last year's trip. I still haven't had all of mine printed either. :rolleyes1

The Buzz CM was the only rude one we encountered during our whole trip. Maybe, like you said, they throw the bad attitude ones over to the Buzz Lightyear attraction.

We like to see the Spectro Magic parade at least once every trip. Because we spend two days in the Magic Kingdom, we knew we would see the parade on our second day.

Lisa, just download your pictures to Shutterfly. Then double click on picture to view larger. Right click to "view image", highlight the url and hit ctrl and the letter c (for copy). To post [ img ] without spaces then hit ctrl and letter v (for view) then [ /img ] without spaces. Now that's how I do it. I don't have Explorer, I have Firefox so it may be different. I don't know. My son told me how to post pictures and I wrote it down so I would never forget. It sounds complicated, but once you do it, you'll see it's not at all.

Ok, I'm finally opening up a Shutterfly account because I just store all my photos on my hard drive and that is not conducive to sharing them online!

I'm going to post a couple pictures to my pre-trip report thread (see link below) including my last Disney trip in 2004!:yay:

Ginny I am cracking up here. You said "one of her husbands". Does she have more than one? LOL! And then you said you took one of them to Disney. No I see she may have been married more than once, but was she married to more than one at the same time?! :rotfl2: If so, She's the WOMAN!!! :worship:

Wow! I have a lot of catching up to do! I have just started your TR and I am really enjoying it. You have a great writing style! I am looking forward to reading more!

Our host walked us through the restaurant and we kept walking and kept walking and kept walking until we reached the very last table in the entire place. Right up against the railing. We weren't even in the main restaurant any more. There were only three other families in the section with us and a lot of empty tables.

Oh my goodness - I'll bet that was the same exact table that my son and I sat at in August 2007! It was quiet which, at the time, was a good thing because I had SUCH a sinus cold going on that I truly thought my head would explode!!! But, on the other hand, I was quite disappointed in the experience. I had heard that it was just such a fun dinner but, meh, I really didn't see it. Maybe I need to give it another try. Brandon did ask for ketchup - hee, hee - and he also had a blast running multiple times when the next kid asked for ketchup. :rotfl2: And I have a picture of Brandon drinking from the "glass" of soda that the server brought out after he drank his first glass down in two seconds, flat! :lmao: Yeah, maybe I'll try it again and ask for an inside table. I wanna be where the action's at!

Lisa, I'm here from "the site which shall not be named." I'm guessing its based in Nazi Germany.... Anyway- thanks for showing me this place. It's much more "me.":flower3:

party: :welcome: party:

I seceded from TSWSNBN a few weeks ago, haven't been back there since, and don't miss it a lick! DIS place rocks! :lmao: :rotfl:

:woohoo: I did it! I'm totally caught up now! :woohoo: It sure didn't help that I was down and out with bronchitis for 5 whole days. Being able to breathe without hacking up a lung each and every minute really is a wonderful thing. :)

After watching the fireworks from Tomorrowland, it was time to hit Fantasyland! First up was The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. The wait time was 15 minutes. Not too bad.

Unfortunately, we were in line behind a man and woman who didn't watch their kids. The kids were young, probably 3 and 5. The kids were swinging the chains which meant the chains were hitting everybody in the line. They were climbing on anything and everything they could find. Once, they jumped down from the railing and landed on John. On several occasions, they would chase each other behind us and then push their way back through. Never once did the parents get on to their children. I know that kids will be kids but still.:sad2:

After what seemed like way more than 15 minutes (not because we waited longer than that but because we had to endure the rambunctious kids with inattentive parents), we boarded our honey pot and were off to join Pooh on his adventures:

We wanted to see if the line for Dumbo was very long and, of course, it was so we skipped it. Hunter saw the sword in the stone and wanted to see if he could pull it out. We had to wait for several other little boys to give it a try before it was Hunter's turn.

While we waited, I took a few pictures of the castle.

100_2753.jpg

Okay, Hunter, give it a tug:

100_2755.jpg

No...a real tug:

Alas! The sword remained set in stone.

Continued in next post

We stopped in Mickey's PhilarMagic and, of course, it was absolutely wonderful. I think this is the best 3D show in all of Walt Disney World. Love it!

Next up on our touring list was It's A Small World. But, not before I made another pit stop. "Not again!" Hunter said. I told them to just sit tight 'cause I'd be right back. Here's how John spent his time waiting:

100_2758.jpg

Crazy man!

I found my crew and we hopped in line for It's A Small World. Be prepared....I took lots of pictures. I normally don't take that many but I knew I'd be posting them on the Dis so I took a bunch.

Ready for a boat ride? Let's sing together now..... "It's a small world after all! It's a small world after all! It's a small world after all! It's a small world after all! It's a small small world!"
