Stop Making Me Laugh Or I'll Pee My Pants! Go Back! I Lost My Shoe! Trip Report!

That's really awful that the other attorney screwed everything up so badly. I feel bad for the family. However, I am impressed that the boss didn't have to come bail you out for assault after dealing with them. I hope the baby's mama has more in the upstairs department. Otherwise, that poor kid.

I try to keep in mind that the people who call an attorney's office are not having a good day. I mean, who calls an attorney with good news? Not many. Anyway, that's always in the back of my head when I am dealing with people who are grouchy or unpleasant to deal with.

The guy himself seems like an okay kind of guy. I told him that he couldn't bring his mother or his grandmother with him when he came back. We just don't mesh!

:wave2:

I havent got to the end yet, but am loving you report so far!! You seem like such a close, lovely family. :) It's a pleasure to read.

I'm sad I can;t see your resort photos or ones after that though. :( Darn photobucket.

Hey glad you posted! We are a pretty close family indeed. We love spending time with each other especially now that Lacey is away at missionary college.

I hope that my resort pictures show up again soon so you can have a look-see.

I found the Hidden Mickey! Thanks, Lisa. Oh, and hopefully you can help the guy out. Good for him for leaving grandma out in the car. LOL! He grew some, it seems.

Yeah! I'm glad you spotted it. It took me years before I found it. It may look big in the picture but it's really hard to find on that great big mural.

I am glad your boss can at least talk to him one on one. Also glad he realized that mama and granny needed to be left out and this was something he needed to take care of.

Your boss is kind because he is around it all day with you.

The sad thing is my boss actually has spoken with him one on one.....just last week. He told him exactly what had to happen and in what order it had to happen. Mama and grandmama jumped the gun and that's when everything went down the tubes.

I set the guy an appointment for 3:00 tomorrow and we're going to see if there is anything that we can do for him.

Ugg Lisa. Sorry you had to deal with grandma. Is the guy even 18? I'm just wondering why he's toting Mama and Grandma around. Good for you for keeping your cool. I would have been pretty irritated, and sometimes my mouth says things I don't really mean when that happens.

I feel sorry for the poor guy. I mean, he obviously wants to be able to see his baby. He just should have realized that this was HIS battle and not his mom and grandma's a little sooner.

I know you guys will try your best to find a solution. Hopefully there is one.

Can't wait for the rest of EPCOT. As far as Chef Mickey's, I wasn't very impressed when we did it either. We did it mostly for the characters, but the food wasn't great. We went at breakfast. I don't think we've been there at dinner yet. Maybe it's better.

Oh, what a mess with that family!!! Were they just panicking and decided to try somewhere else? :confused3 I teach, and sometimes dealing with the families is the worst part of it. I have great parents every year who do everything they can for their kids, but know when to back off...then I have some that never back off (and can't figure out what the problem is)...but the toughest ones are the ones that have no one at home that gives a darn. I guess that's at least one thing going for this baby - there are people that love him/her, even though they're not thinking. I hope you can help him, despite his family.

Coral Reef is one I'd like to try, but I have even pickier eaters than Hunter - my older DS won't eat anything there (and my DD is just as picky, but with different things). They only eat pizza from one or two places. It's obnoxious to have to pick our ADRs based on the kids menues...thank goodness for the DIS and their menu section! I'm sorry to hear you had a rough time at Chef Mickey's. We go every trip (DH wants to go twice in June...I'm working on talking him out of that one) - it's a tradition for us. We do like dinner a lot better than breakfast, though. I hope it wasn't too bad!

Again another great update :thumbsup2. Have you thought about quiting your job and becoming a writer? You would be great. I feel like I am right there with you.

I wanted to eat at Coral Reef, but Dale is a fried shrimp or gumbo man , no halibut, salmon, crayfish, nothing else. I would love to try the grits they sound yummy. When we went to Hard Rock Casino in July I tried some white fish with a craw fish sauce.............OMG it was out of this world. And I am not a fish person. Dallas is going to do the same as Hunter, he will order from the kids menu at every restaurant we go to :sad2:.

All caught up. Great updates. I have to go back and look at that Maestrom mural. I couldn;t see the hidden Mickey in the picture.
I have heard alot of people saying how bad Chef Mickeys is right now. Most went in August too. We went for breakfast in 2007 and it was just OK. Not bad, but not good either, but the atmosphere and characters were fun.

Hunter absolutely loves swords, knives and guns. He and I were laughing about it once. I told him "you know a lot of parents would be really concerned if their son was obsessed with these kinds of things." and he just laughed at me and said "mom, it's me Hunter!". Never had the conversation again.

I am starting to believe that Hunter and Isaiah are kindred spirits! Funny story...

We had gone to Sears to purchase a lawn tractor. While Jeff and I were talking to the salesperson, the boys wandered off to look at tools. At one point a woman came up to us and asked if those were our children. UH-OH! :rolleyes1 Apparently she believed that they were being unsafe with the tools. We walked over and told the boys to rejoin us and asked what happened. Come to find out that Isaiah had been playing with the axes! OY! This is the funny part....I asked him what he said to the lady when she confronted him and he said, and I quote, "Don't worry, I'm specially trained!"
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: That boy.

When our boat docked, we looked up and there was a line waiting for the theater doors to open. Great....we'd have to wait on all those people to move so that we could make a quick walk through the theater. As soon as the doors opened, everybody walked on in and took a seat. We walked right on in and kept walking.

We spent some time walking around in the store. We absolutely love The Deadliest Catch and it was fun looking at The Deadliest Catch stuff in the store. Last trip, John got a Heely Hansen (probably spelled that wrong) hat. Since the other merchandise was expensive, we simply window shopped.

We are total suckers and stayed for the movie. I felt bad that everyone was ditching so I made my family stay! :rotfl:

Okay...our families would be best of friends. We could watch marathons of Hell's Kitchen and Deadliest Catch while Isaiah and Hunter played with swords and axes! :lmao:

That REALLY is funny! Boys! :headache:

Gotta love those boys! :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

The guy is 23 and he later told me that the only reason grandmother is involved is because she's paying the attorney fees.

I didn't get a chance to upload the last part of my Epcot photos. Hunter had lots of homework last night. He's been struggling a bit in Math and Language Arts. He has never liked either one of these subjects.

Oh, what a mess with that family!!! Were they just panicking and decided to try somewhere else? :confused3 I teach, and sometimes dealing with the families is the worst part of it. The bad thing is we actually told them to call us if they found another attorney who could prepare the paperwork faster than us. They did that but didn't bother to call us or even tell us when they came in to see my boss.

It takes a special kind of person to be a teacher and I applaude you for it! I don't know that I could do it. Hunter is having some issues with Math and Language Arts this year. He's never cared for those two subjects....ever. So, we really have to work on him to let him know that he's got to try harder. It doesn't help that he just started to a new school....middle school at that. I've spoken with his teachers and they are going to do what they can on their end.

I find myself booking ADRs around what Hunter would like to eat too so I know how you feel. It's horrible! The pizza at Coral Reef is kind of like the flatbread kind and Hunter liked it well enough.

I'll post more about Chef Mickey's later on in my report but we didn't like it at all. I didn't even like the atmosphere too much. But,we went at dinner so maybe that made a difference.

OK, all caught up. Whenever I see or hear about the Coral Reef I always think of the Full House episode when they are in Disney World. hehe

Running in the queue?! Shame on you! No, I'm totally joking, my family never runs either but we did the same thing at the MK one day. We cut through Adventureland to get to BTMRR (this was for opening) and there was nobody anywhere! All of a sudden we saw everyone else coming over the bridge so we started running so we could beat everyone. It was kind of fun.

If I thought I could make a living at writing, I would do it! I've written short stories before and even wrote my own guidebook to Walt Disney World and handed them out to my friends and family who were going to Disney.

The only fish they had at Coral Reef was the grilled and blackened kind. I'm not a big fish eater either but both were good. If I eat fish, I want it to be catfish fillets and they need to be fried real crispy. I like fried shrimp too. Crawfish are just okay.

Hunter is such a weenie when it comes to trying new foods. Lacey, on the other hand, will taste of anything once and never complain...even if she doesn't like it.

Go back and look at the mural picture to see if you can find Mickey.

The dinner at Chef Mickey's was bordering on horrible. I ate mostly salad and bread.

That story is too cute and I swear it sounds like something Hunter would say. I recently found an old butcher knife that was my Daddy's and I taught Hunter how to throw it and make it stick into the oak tree in our back yard. My friend had a fit when I told her what I had taught him. I figure boys will be boys and it's better if I teach him how to do it right instead of him trying it by himself.

Oh, we've stayed for the Norway movie several times too. I thought the same thing as you.....awww, nobody's staying, maybe we need to sit down and watch it.

Hunter would absolutely love for Isaiah to come over. He likes to show off his swords, knives and guns. Just be sure and tell Isaiah that he has to bring his axe with him.

I love Hell's Kitchen, Deadliest Catch, Project Runway, America's Next Top Model, Amazing Race and Survivor. I don't watch much television but those are my favorites. If it wasn't so far between our houses, you would come over any time you'd like.

That REALLY is funny! Boys! :headache:

Gotta love those boys! :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

Hunter says the craziest things. He once told his teacher that his Daddy didn't have a job. Never ever had one. I had to explain to him that just because his Daddy is self employed and we run the cabinet shop out of our backyard, it doesn't mean his Daddy is unemployed.

I remember the Full House episode where they stayed at the Grand Floridian but I don't remember them going to the Coral Reef. Next time it comes on, I'll have to watch it.

We had the best time running through the non-existent lines. It was something that we would have never ever done if there had been other people there. It made us laugh!

Prayers have been answered! My boss' mother had her surgery this morning and it was completely successful! She is already awake and in the recovery room. I'll update throughout the day as I hear more. Thank you all so very much for all the prayers!

Such wonderful news Lisa. Prayer is a wonderful thing. I'm sure your boss is feeling much better. Stress so gets in the way of what we want to do.

Great news, Lisa! Thanks for the quick update.

Hunter is so picky about what he eats. I knew he could order the pizza from the kids' menu but I was unsure whether or not he could order from the adult dessert menu. Like I said, I was ready to put up a fuss if they didn't let him. I mean, I paid the adult price and I saved them money when he ordered the pizza.

Do your boys eat a lot? Sometimes, it seems like I can never get Hunter full. Then, at other times, I can't seem to get him to eat at all.

Oh heck no, my boys eat next to nothing. :confused3 Not sure why. DH and I love to eat!! :rotfl:

I figure they'll probably be about 15 before they start ordering off of the adults menu at Disney! So I don't think we will be paying for the DDP again. We'll either go when it's free (like in November!) or we will just pay OOP for meals.

Great news about your bosses mother! :goodvibes

Hunter ate like a bird until he turned 11 and then I couldn't fill him up. He seems to grow in spurts....skinny as a rail one minute and then a little tubby the next. Then, he'll shoot up in height. Growing like a weed!

I think we still come out ahead using the dining plan because Hunter does order off of some of the adult menus.

My boss is so relieved.

So glad to hear that the boss's mom came through surgery successfully!

We are supposed to get a more extensive update later in the day but it seems like everything was successful.
