Stop Making Me Laugh Or I'll Pee My Pants! Go Back! I Lost My Shoe! Trip Report!

I make Don do ours at home and yes he does all online. Way easier. In our old office I had to send everything to the accountant quarterly. He charged a fortune and I had to do the work to get it to him. This is way easier. I send it now the first of the year so he can do my W2's and any errors on tax deposits. He only charges $750.00.

Glad the boss is gone. We love it when the doc leaves. You can get so much more work done.

Now on to this ghost. That is absolutley great. I can see John flying outta there. Don't know much about Mac but I woulda so split outta there. So now your ghost/skeleton smokes and is shy?

Let's see, where was I....oh yeah, Lacey and I had picked an ugly oyster. I got one with a light pink tint to it and had it placed in a swirl pendant setting. Lacey had gotten a pretty white pearl and was having it mounted in a ring setting.

Because we had some time before we could pick up Lacey's ring, we went in search of a bathroom. Luckily, there was one behind the Yakitori House and there were also some empty table outside. We decided to just take a seat at one of the tables and chill out for a little while. It was so hot outside and we really did need a rest.

Wait....before we went to the bathroom, I took this picture of Hunter:

John broke the rules again and went behind the barrier so I could take his picture. The Japanese Gods or whatever they call them (I mean no disrespect, I just don't know what they call them/Him/Her.) must have been watching him because the picture came out all blurry....seriously blurry. See, he should have been following the rules.

These pretty lanterns were hanging in the sitting area behind Yakitori House:

While we are sitting there wasting time, Jeanna (one of the Mission Georgia leaders) called to tell Lacey that there had been a change of plans. Instead of Lacey getting to stay in the same apartment she was in last year, she would be living in the apartment next to it. Meaning, they would have to move all of Lacey's stuff that she had left over the Summer. Lacey told them to just do whatever they needed to do.

Now, I had forgotten to post before that John has a terrible memory. Part of it can be blamed on all the medications he is on for his epilepsy and part of it is that he just plain ole doesn't pay close attention. If you'll recall, our drive to Disney World takes about 15 hours. I can't tell you how many times during those 15 hours that John asked Lacey how many girl students and how many boy students would be at the mission this year. Then, he'd ask her who was coming back from the year before. She'd go through the whole story with him and it seemed like just a few hours later, he'd ask her again. Lacey and I would just look at each other and shake our heads.:sad2:

You can probably see where I am headed.........yep, as soon as Lacey got off the phone with the mission leader, John asked her who was going to be in the apartment with her. After about 15 minutes of explaining it all over again to her Daddy, Lacey said "isn't it time to go get my ring?" Easy out!

On our way down the steps, we stopped and took pictures of the fish in the Koi (spelling?) pond:

When we got to the store, we could see that there was a huge crowd of people around the pearl place so John and Hunter decided to just sit outside and wait on us. The 1! 2! 3! lady was back opening the pearls and the crowd was lovin' her.

We waited in line for our turn to pick up Lacey's ring. We could see it over in the corner and it was beautiful. There were two ladies and two teenagers in front of us. One of the girls turned to one of the ladies and said I want that ring. Lacey looked at me and whispered "she ain't getting my ring." After ten minutes or so, it was our turn and Lacey tried on her ring. It fit perfectly and was so pretty. I can't believe I didn't take a picture. The lady told Lacey not to wear it for 24 hours so that it would set properly. She put it in a box and we were ready to tour the rest of World Showcase.

Normally, we take our own sweet time walking through World Showcase. We'll go in the shops and explore the countries but today it was just so blessed hot and humid. And this is coming from a Louisiana girl who is used to hot temps and high humidity! We found ourselves just kind of wandering around and skipping things.

While in Germany, John decided he wanted to try one of their beers so we went into the counter service restaurant. Here's a couple of pictures I took of the sign. Yes, they are same but one was taken with a different camera setting:

I don't remember the name of the beer but it was the lighter colored one and he got it in the tall souvenier stein. He said it didn't taste so good and actually ended up pouring out about half of it.

As we were walking, John's cell phone rings again! This time, it was the lady client that he had placed a call to earlier. She told John that she hated to bother him while he was on vacation but she did want to call him back. She apologized like crazy that the guy had called him earlier. They talked a while and talked a while more and after that, they talked some more. During this time, I started taking pictures and Lacey and Hunter walked over to the trading post place where the guy carves wooden animals.

Here are a few pictures I took while waiting:

I whispered to John that I was walking over to where the kids were and he could meet me over there. He motioned for me to go ahead. I could tell that he was trying to wrap the conversation up.

*************INTERRUPTION: Boss just called. Something is wrong with his car. Gotta find a Lexus dealership in Baton Rouge. Back later.

Wonderful Epcot. Now in my world you don't throw any beer away. No matter how good or bad. If it's bad you just go buy one you like to get a better taste. John was punished for crossing the line again. You shouldn't have been tho for trying to get a pix. The setting on the 2nd pix is way better. Do you remember what you set it on? I'm always changing mine and don't remember what I did.

Poor John and that phone. Did I read that Lacy had to change dorms this year? If you could have her call me and explain that a little it would help. Or have her call John and he can call me. I'm amazed I missed that conversation when I was at Epcot with you. I do remember how hot it was tho. Just jackin with ya.

Ready for more

Ginny

Enjoying the update, tell your boss to STOP INTERRUPTING the trip report! ;)
Looking forward to more. :cutie:

I'm about to shut the office down for the day. You know what the "emergency" was with the boss' car? A speaker wasn't working right. What the heck kind of emergency is that? Anyway, I found a Lexus dealership and called him back with the number. He asked me to call them and find out if they had the speaker in stock and, if they did, could he bring his car in and get it fixed. He sure hated to drive all the way back home with one speaker out. Oh my word!

Anyway, they don't keep the speakers in stock and it'll take them two days to get them. He decided he'd just wait until he got back in town to get it fixed. Men!

Great update! :) My mom has the same memory that John does, most likely from the medication she's taking...and slightly due to not paying attention. :) Telling the same story over again a few times can get quite 'entertaining'!

Great update Lisa. I can't wait to see the pictures of your necklace and Lacey's ring. Tell her to email the picture to you! I can't believe you took pictures of fish, but didn't take pictures of the ring. :confused3

Your boss is a nut. Just sayin'.

Can't wait to hear more!

Great update and pics!
Thanks for the ghost update, I love to hear about those too! Your ghost smokes an awful lot, maybe he needs the nicotine patch! LOL

LOVE the ghost update! How CREEPY!!!

Oh....and I just had to mention that Jeff and I love Hell's Kitchen! We're totally addicted! ;)

Great Epcot update. The pictures just take me back!

No spitting in the fish pond this time?? :rotfl:

That's so scary about the skeleton! I would have booked it outta there..at least one of them wasn't there by themselves! Love your Epcot update, love your camera too..i need a new camera so bad....all your pictures look really nice!

Goodness gracious alive! It took me a while to catch up with all your posts. The boss left after lunch to go to Baton Rouge and won't return until Monday. I've got a lot of stuff to get done here but at least I can do it without hearing....."Lisa, dear, will you come hither a minute!" (yes, he says hither because he thinks it's funny) or "Lisa, did we do (insert something)?" or something similar.

For those of you who came over from my first trip report, ya'll will remember that my office building is the home of a ghost or two. For those of you who didn't follow the first report, now you know that my office building has a ghost or two. We've still have all the usual stuff happening.....doors opening without the bells ringing, doorlocks being unlocked when we know good and well they were locked, little things being moved about and the almost ever present smoke smell.

John and his brother had to come to the office last night to hang a campaign sign from the second floor balcony. John's brother is the one who helped John work on the building before we moved in. He and John are the ones who kept telling me that there were ghosts here (before we had actually moved our office over here). Anyway, they came over last night to hang the sign and before they left home, they were laughing about having to go upstairs to the uninhabited part of the building. They said "we'll probably turn around and there will be a ghost there."

I'm sitting in the living room last night watching Hell's Kitchen and I hear John and Mac (the brother) pull up. They come in and said "you're never going to believe what we found upstairs." They started telling me how they had run into my boss's parents who were leaving to go out for a while. (so, we know they weren't in the building) John and Mac came into my office to put their tools down and they smelled smoke. Ya'll know my ghost(s) like to smoke. Mac started freaking out a little and told John that they needed to hurry up and get the sign hung and get out of here.

So, they go upstairs to the second floor and make their way towards the balcony. (There's tons of junk stored upstairs.) They heard a few knocks/bumps and they smelled the smoke again and turned around AND..........

.......there's a skeleton standing there!:eek::eek: It took them a minute to figure out that it was one of those skeletons that you see in a doctor's office. It was hanging on one of those steel rod things. My boss' dad used to do a lot of personal injury cases and used it in court. It scared them to death!:lmao: After their heart stopped racing, Mac stood by the skeleton and John took his picture with Mac's cell phone.

They climb out onto the balcony and hung the sign which took a little while because the sign is a large 4'x8' board. They climbed back in the window and smelled smoke again. And they looked and..........

........ the skeleton was turned around facing the opposite direction!:eek::eek:

Needless to say, they packed up their crap and came home! Mac says he's never coming back over here. I say they must be good ghosts or they would have already done something mean to us.

Okay, so I've provided you guys with a ghost update. Now, I am going to type up a little more of our Epcot day. I have to be at the courthouse before 4:00 p.m. which means I have about 35 minutes to write the installment and find the pictures on photobucket. I better get started.

I can tell you right now that I would have peed my pants if that happened to me!

Morning all!

I am about to come back and respond to everybody's posts. I came in first thing this morning and applied for the new 2010 Mickey Mom's Panel. I've tried twice before and was never picked. What I wouldn't give for a free vacation to Disney!

Let me get the office up and running and I'll be back.

Lisa
