Stop Making Me Laugh Or I'll Pee My Pants! Go Back! I Lost My Shoe! Trip Report!

One of the best things about your TRs is how much fun you guys have as a family! I'm so glad you didn't let strange looks stop you. I'm also glad your tooth stayed in your mouth this time! :lmao: I was thinking about putting my super glue with my trip stuff just today (but I always remember when I'm in the car or something...somewhere that I can't just go do it right then).

I can't believe you guys went on Mission Space twice in such a short time span. Will is tall enough, but I'm not letting him go. Christian probably isn't tall enough (I'm SO hoping that he will actually be right at 44"-though I kind of doubt it-so he can ride EE, but I'm not letting him do Mission Space anyway). Too many scary stories about that ride with younger kids. When they're older, like your kids, then maybe. Mission Space doesn't scare me at all and I don't mind doing it, but I don't really enjoy it so I usually just skip it. Matt is really the only one that likes it. I don't know if he'll go by himself or not. :confused3

You've spent a lot of time in Future World. Are you saving World Showcase for another day, or have you just not gotten there yet.

BTW (I meant to say this last time and forgot), Will has that same shirt that Hunter is wearing. I loved it when I bought it, but he spilled something red on it that I can't get out now. Oh well. ;)

Hope you were able to enjoy dinner and have a fun time tomorrow. Our only plans for the weekend are baseball practice...every day.

There's not a whole lot we won't do to have a bit of fun. Well within legal limits I assure you. We just like spending time with each other and I am glad that it shows.

I am glad to report that I didn't have to use the super glue once during this trip. But, I had three tubes just in case. One in the car, one in my backpack and one in the room as a backup.

Hunter has been riding Mission Space every since it opened. I can't remember how many years ago that is. Hea bsolutely loves it. It's funny that he can spin all around and shoot to the moon but doesn't like Splash Mountain.....go figure!

We know that we have two days in Epcot so we just skip around on day one and go back and see everything else on day two.

I bought Hunter's shirt at Old Navy on off season, of course. That's the only way to shop. That way, if he spills something on it and gets ruined, I don't feel bad.

Hope that baseball practice went well.

I hope your dinner went well with the in-laws! I know how they can be. (Generally, my MIL is great, but since Conner was born... welll... & my FIL never speaks, so it's hard to gauge how he is.) Enjoy the swap meet/flea market thingy today!

I don't fight with the in-laws but they are totally weird. You just never know what kind of mood they will be in. I hate sitting with them and wondering if they'll get pissed off about the littlest of something. John's dad is a pastor and every since Lacey has started missionary college and will be a minister by this time next year, they have been all lovey dovey. I think they think Lacey's following in her Papaw's footsteps.

I loved the jumping shots of the kids in front of Spaceship Earth! I wonder if I can get 5 grown kids launched in December, it ought to make for some interesting shots! Thanks for the idea!
Really enjoying your report!

Thanks for the compliment. I think I took 4 or 5 shots before I got these two. You really need to try it. It was a lot of fun.

Great update Lisa. Love the pix of the 'jumpers'. Those kids of your sure know how to have fun. Enjoy your time in Canton. Was I wrong in thinking Longhorns play Monroe tonite? I could be. I did get to watch the Missouri game today. I have done nothing all day long. It was great. Now I'll have to clean house on Monday. Oh well, I enjoyed my day off.

Ginny

Aren't the pictures cute! They did have fun doing it even if we had a few people looking at us strangely.

We had a fun time in Canton. My 75 year old mom went with us so we took it slow and took several breaks. I didn't buy too much but it was nice to get out of the house.

You deserved a day of a whole lotta nothin'! I do that every once in a while. Can't do it too much or the dirty clothes and dishes will overtake the place.:scared1:

Loving the TR! I had a question, did you keep a notebook you wrote everything down in to remember for the TR? Did you write in it nightly? Trying to decide how to do mine in a few weeks

I started out making a few notes at the end of the day but that only lasted about two days. We'd get to the resort room and just crash because we were so tired.

I have a pretty good memory. I guess it comes with the line of work I am in.

OMG, I love those shots in front of Spaceship Earth! Reminds me of High School Musical...:rotfl::rolleyes1 I really wanted to take a picture like that when we were there...

Thanks! I have a couple more that the kids did like that later on in the trip. We laughed so hard trying to get the right shot.

Good morning Lisa. Glad you had a safe trip to Canton. I cleaned the kitchen, my bath and did laundry early this morning. Did not do church as Don is painting trim on the house and wants it done today and tomorrow. We have an all brick home with two bump outs that were vinyl sided. When the storm tore out my window, roof, back door and siding out 2 years ago we decided to replace it with the Hardy board, stucco style. So it's been up. He caulked yesterday and painting today. There is less than 200 sq ft so won't take him forever but his shoulder and back hurt from the fork lift from work. I have told him to go to the dr. many times but don't see that happening. He doesn't want to miss work you know. He has not had a sick day in over 7 years. If he doesn't work he doesn't get paid. So he plans all of his days off. He still has the week of Thanksgiving, week of Christmas and 5 additional days this year. He better get busy turning some days in.

Have a great 2 more days from work

Ginny

I did post the football Friday nite

Great Updates - you have a wonderful family... Can't wait for more!

Loving ur trip report, seriously i just wanna jump right through ur pictures, lol. Beverly is NASTY! and as for my dad, he didnt mind it, said it tasted like a mix drink.....lol

I love the pictures of the kids up in the air! Such a cool idea!

Mission Space twice??? Brave woman! I won't even do it once...I'm so afraid I'd be nauseous the rest of the day.

Glad you had a good time in Canton. It's nice that your Mom could go with you. Hope you guys had a relaxing Sunday. :)

Glad ya'll had a great road trip. Happy your mom had a nice time with ya'll! I have not ridden Mission Space, yet! I chicken out......Danny was going to ride the intense version with the kids and than swap with me to the less intense version. While Ashton was playing on the space playground;he had a BM and when they came out I went off looking for a restroom. So, we did not go back. (we were also getting tired/and figured we would come back the next day :confused3 ).
Epcot is the first park we will schedule when we go back! :yay:

I've yet to do Mission Space. DH did it this last trip, but I am so worried I would get sick...then I found out my Mo mrode the tame version back in Feb and she gets sick esasier than me and had no problems, so I'll try for it next trip.
I'm reading along and keeping up, just not posting alot!

I did try to write nightly, but it was hard to get it all down each day and my memeory would start to fade by the next day a bit as which day was which. LOL! I went with my notes and my pictures. Some of my notes were taken from going through pictures. LOL!

Hey Lisa, I just wanted to tell you I must have jinxed myself. I had not had an episode for about 2 months. Lo and behold I laid down on the couch for an hour nap this afternoon and when I awoke I was sweating and no sure what was happening. Don was telling me something and I couldn't understand him. I had a message on my phone from Sheri and could not read it. I had Don read it for me and used the excuse of not having my glasses on. My bad. I went and took my blood sugar and it was 43. I grabbed some almonds cause I couldn't locate any peanut butter crackers for some reason. It was back up to 72 in about 15 minutes. Then I was able to shower and by the time I was done I felt fine. We did go to Olive Garden for dinner and I was fine. I do know I did not eat lunch cause I knew we were eating early. I'm sure that is what started the whole ordeal. Tonight I'm fine.

I am so sorry for Hunter not getting to play. I think a party is in order. He at least could see his old friends.

That was good of you to take your mom to Canton with you.

I have turned over a new leaf and called my mom the other day. She mentioned my sister so after I hung up I called her. I got her voice mail and asked her to call me back. This was Thursday. She still has not called. I do fb with my niece so at least I know what is going on. I know my mom blames me for not talking to my sis. That I deal with.

Glad you had a good time :thumbsup2. I was so tired this weekend we didn't do much of anything. Hope everybody is doing good.

I have done both versions of Mission Space and I will not do the orange version again. I have not done Soarin' yet. I think we are gonna brave it this time. I am a big ole baby when it comes to heights. I am terrified of heights.

Man, I'm away for a weekend and there are just so many updates! Love the jumping picture, also love your super cool sunglasses. :cool1:

Just got all caught up again, awesome updates as usual. Love the jumping pics of the kids. I've been showing DH your report also and he loves the pictures! :)

I haven't taken off a sick day at work in probably 5 years or so. I hate taking off work for something frivilous. I try to save those days up so for when I really really want to take a day off. I can always say....hey, I haven't taken any sick days off.

Great Updates - you have a wonderful family... Can't wait for more!

Thanks so much! I thought I'd get another updated posted by now but I've been busy this weekend. Hope to get an installment posted today.

I wish you could jump in them with me. We'd have a lot of fun.

It took several shots to get the right one. By the time I finally got a good picture, the kids were saying they were tired.:lmao:

I love Mission Space! Doesn't make me nauseous at all.

Glad you had a good time in Canton. It's nice that your Mom could go with you. Hope you guys had a relaxing Sunday. :)

My mother does a lot with us because we live right next door to each other. We, literally, share the same driveway. We try to get her to go places with us so that we can get out of the house. She does things with her church group and with another senior group but we are the ones that keep her young.:rotfl:

You really should try Mission Space even if it is the tame version. It's a great ride.

Ginny, I know that it'll take me a while to get there but do I need to come and straighten you out? You're gonna make the mama in me come out!

We have an Olive Garden here in town and we have never been there. Everybody says it is good but we haven't given it a try.

Good for you calling your mother and your sister. I know it took a lot for you to do that. It's now up to your sister to call you back. You've done your part.

Glad you had a good time :thumbsup2. I was so tired this weekend we didn't do much of anything. Hope everybody is doing good.

I had three whole days off work and did I sleep late once? Nope! Every morning, I wake up at 6:30 a.m. just like on work days. Ugh!

You know that I am a sissy when it comes to heights but I like Soarin'. You need to try it just once.

Still enjoying your trip report Lisa. LOVE the jumping picture, great shot! Looking forward to more.

Thanks for the compliment!

Great update- looking forward to more!

I've been trying for two days now to get an installment posted and it just hasn't happened yet.

Man, I'm away for a weekend and there are just so many updates! Love the jumping picture, also love your super cool sunglasses. :cool1:

At least you are all caught up now.

Just got all caught up again, awesome updates as usual. Love the jumping pics of the kids. I've been showing DH your report also and he loves the pictures! :)

Tell your hubby that I am glad he likes the pictures!

Lisa, don't feel bad. I haven't posted on my own thread at all in the last 3 days...and neither has anyone else. I've read other people's threads, but haven't been to my own. I'm headed there in a minute. I know. I'm sad. You're doing well. :thumbsup2

Come on up mommy. I'm taking Austin to Red Lobster tomorrow night. I'm such a good grandma. I did do my part in calling my sister and I will do it again this week. I'm good at giving lots of second chances. But then I think I won't try again. She had many issues I know.

I haven't missed any sick days this year but I did pretty much use them all last year and the year before. In 2007 it was gall bladder, then 2008 2 surgeries and the radiation. I will have to do that test this fall but I hope I won't have to miss work for it. We only get 60 hours a year. Also in 2008 I got this terrible flu in February and missed 2 days. This was happening when I needed to be with my bro and sis in law. Their son had just died and it broke my heart I couldn't be with them. The doc said to avoid people for one week. I was better by the time of the funeral I could go. Sheri went out to their house every night to help Sharon for me. It was so sweet of her. It was so tragic for my dear bro and Sharon. They still struggle with it. He went missing for 2 weeks before they found him. He did it to himself. Breaks my heart. I am thankful we are close and can be together. They have 2 other boys. He left 2 boys.

Have a good day back at work tomorrow.
