Stolen Ears yet again...GRRR

So last year I took my boys to see disney on ice and when we came out my Mickey antenna was Gone it was the nice one with the ears covered in gold glitter our 1st souvie from our 1st ever disney trip. I was so heartbroken so needless to say I learned my lesson to take the new one off (just from the disney store )whenever we went to something that required parking for a long time. Then doing that everytime we went somewhere got to be a pain so I stopped. Well this weekend I took my boys to Six Flags. When we got to the car the boys kept arguing with me that this wasn't our car and I kept telling them I knew where we parked then they said MOM this is not our car cause ours has Pirate Mickey on it and this don't. GGRRRRRR our brand new Pirate Mickey from our 1st ever pirate and princess party was gone. I know, I know I should have learned my lesson the 1st time to just put it up not put it on the car but my guys love finding the car by looking for Mickey......
note to self next time buy 2 of the same topper 1 to put up and 1 to see how long it takes for some inconsiderate person to steal. Thanks for listening to me vent.

I feel your pain. I have had a couple stolen off of my car as well. It has been a while since we have been to WDW, but I know the first thing(s) we are buying when we get there next week!! I like your idea, get a couple and if one grows legs you have a backup!!

I feel your pain! Our sorcerer Mickey antennae topper was stolen once! People that steal those things are just stupid!

I was thinking that they steal them to sell them on EBAY so next time I get one I am going to write on it. IF YOU HAVE THIS, IT WAS STOLEN FROM A CHILD on the bottom of it. Thanks for the support.... I just can't believe someone would steal toppers.

I read here on the DIS once to stick pins thru the topper so that just the ends stick out. Then when someone tries to pull it off.....

It sounds like a great idea & I've thought about doing that, but then there is the risk of someone getting mad & damaging your car.

We had a camo one stolen once off our car. It does suck!

You could try gluing it on so it doesn't just slide right off. just a thought.

That makes me mad. You shouldn't have to keep taking it on and off! I do not understand people who take things that do not belong to them. So sorry....that really just aggravates me...and it did not even happen to me!

I have had 2 stolen. As much as I wanted to replace them on our last trip, I refrained from buying...I didn't want to have another one stolen.

I've had some stolen too so I bought a cool buddies stand from laughing place. It's a spring stand that sits on your dashboard. No more stolen antenna toppers!

I bought a cute princess Minnie one, that was stolen by a man working on my house. How sad is that. After all day of him admiring it and asking questions about it, when he left, My Minnie went with him. I just bought another princess minnie, but a different one and a backup. So here I go again.

Some jerks stole my whole car antennae once near when I parked it near work! After that I would never buy an antennae topper because if they stole the whole antennae, I bet they would steal that too.

That stinks. We've never had one stolen (surprising) but now I know to tell mom about that. Maybe we could try the pin idea...just have to watch out for them when we take it down to replace it.

Someone broke off my Tinkerbell hitch cover on my SUV. It had a lock on it so I guess they figured they just wanted Tink. I was so mad. I ordered another one from DisneyShopping and got it in last week.

someone stole ours when the car was parked at POP CENTURY, when we were there in sepetember! Boy that deflated us, nothing like someone stealing something disney off your car, while you are in disney. We don't put them up anymore.

wow, now i am sure i haev jinxed myself for reading htis thred, neither me or dbf had our stolen, in fact my last golden i had to throw out and replce due to an ear fell off (treees i imagine)....but now i am going to take the advice and write on the bottom of it just for the hell of it, lol,,,not usre baout needles and pins i may forget and get myself..hahaha
