Hi everyone! Not too much to report just yet. I'm getting this baby started though so as soon as I book the flights we'll have a home!

This trip will feature, Me (mel), DH :coffee: , DS14 "Z" :drive: , and DS10 "N" :music:

We are hoping to go to FL for December 19th through the 27th. We've never been away from home for the actual DAY of Christmas before, so that will interesting.

Anyone who wants to chime in on the ABSOLUTE must do at Christmastime at WDW please do! :thumbsup2

Be back as soon as I have more news!

Hi Mel :wave2: I've never been to WDW at Christmas, would love to though, I have been away though and the hardest bit was hiding certain presents ;) :rotfl2:

I'm in as well....

We went last year for Christmas, well 2 days after but all the stuff was still up. My advice - check out as many resorts as you can, they were all decorated differently and it was really neat to see! In the "Disney Albums" link in my siggie our Dec 2006 trip is listed if you wanna see some pics of the stuff we saw. It was a fun trip but i would prob never go again at that time of year, it was forever lines and waiting. Pretty just not practical. But doing it once is a must i think!

Hi I came on over. I have never been at Christmas but I am sure u will all have a great time.

Hi!!! I am here:yay:

Can't wait to read this:cool1:

We are tentatively going Dec 4th-11th. We won;t have the funds though for 29 days to book anythng and it is killing me:scared1:

I was playing around witht the rental car site and accidently booked a rental for us:rotfl2: I figured out how to cancel it and did it, thank goodness...:rotfl2:

My bil lives about 25 mins away from Disney World, so we are staying with him and gettlike 4 or 5 day passes...no park hoppers.

We are doing this cheap, as we were just in Disney in May, but DS was sick 2 and half days and crabby the rest of week after that, so we want a do over...., or I do anyways:rotfl:

Sorry for hijacking yoru thread..

Now back to the regular scheduled Pre Trippie:lmao:

This will be our 4th year in a row going during the holiday time....must see Osbourne Lights at MGM just beautiful.

The different countries in Epcot are decorated and have their Santas come out.

The Candlelight Processional if that is your thing at Epcot is beautiful..

Definitely some of the hotels..the BC and GF for their decorations...

We just love the atmosphere at this time.

You will have a blast.

HI JO! :wave2: We've been twice during the time between Thanksgiving and Xmas. It's completely dead there. I have photos from last year of me and the boys standing in Frontierland looking back towards Fantasyland and there is NOT A SOUL on the road. NO one. It's sort of spooky. I haven't even thought about what to do about presents. :rolleyes1 Thanks for coming over!

I'm sure it will be MUCH different than my previous Dec. visits. I will check out your link and see some photos. We visited the GF during our trip last pre-Xmas. It was quite lovely. I am hoping to get DH to Narcoossee's for dinner and actually EAT something this time! :rotfl2: Thanks for coming over to my PreTR!

You can highjack me anytime Trentmom! We are in the same boat over here. I can't book it till we pay the business taxes we owe for the quarter and the flights have gone from 525 to 975 in two weeks! It's killing me! :scared1: We will be staying with the inlaws (which we NEVER do) and I'm not sure how that will go. Hoping for a miracle so we can afford to stay onsite AND fly! I'll wish for you, you wish for me!pixiedust:
Thanks for coming over!

Thanks :goodvibes

Wow..that is a huge jump in plane fare....I have been playing with flights...was going to do a shorter trip..But, if I go like Monday to Sunday...it is almost 200 more than going Tuesday to Tuesday....so going to go for the longer time and just spend a few days just visiting with my bil and his friend and go exploring and such:goodvibes

I will wish for you, of course...Here is some pixie dust to get the wishes started:

We saw the Osborn Family lights at MGM last year and thoroughly enjoyed it. :thumbsup2 If you have transportation, ICE at the Gaylord Palms in very cool too. We say it every year and have yet to actually go, but we're planning on touring the resorts to see all the decorations. I have seen some wonderful pictures that I'm sure don't do them justice.

Hi Mel, as promised I made it over here as soon as I could.

My family went to WDW over Christmas back in 1997 and loved it. It is crowded so I would recommend getting there for rope drop and having a plan. Do you subscribe to Tour Guide Mike? He has a chart that tells you what parks to go to and what parks to avoid on each day and explains why. I found it very helpful in avoiding the crowds in July.

The afternoon parade in the MK is a must-do. Since you will be there the week of Christmas the afternoon parade is the same parade that is shown earlier in the month during MVMCP.

Can't wait to hear about all your plans.:goodvibes

Just sending some more pixie dust your way and giving ya a bump!!

I like to keep my fav reports near the top

Hi,Mel.:goodvibes Sorry it took so long for me to get over here.DH and I have talked about taking a trip over Christmas so I am interested in seeing how it goes for you.:thumbsup2

Yikes that is a big jump in airfare!:scared1:

Hope you can figure out a way to stay onsite.Or have you thought about something like Cypress Point?Alot cheaper and more room.Montana(can't think of the rest of his name) highly reccomends it.

Hello Mousescrapper and Avivasmom! :wave2:

Thanks for sticking with me! I've been hiding out a bit. :thanks:

I have absolutely NO idea how I injured myself, but somehow I did. :confused3:

Last Sunday I was sitting at the table answering email and stood up and couldn't feel my legs under me. Strange....
I tried to walk and shooting pains down the back of my legs! Then my entire left leg went NUMB. I don't mean pins and needles either...but COMPLETELY numb. And it's been a week and it's still numb. I had an MRI on Thursday but they don't have the results yet. Other than the numbness, I have no discomfort or pain at all. It's really really weird. I'm sort of stressed about the whole thing. Is my leg going to be numb forever? It's strange.

Everyone that hears my story says that it's got to be a herniated disk with a pinched nerve. But, I am (of course) waiting for the Drs. opinion.

Anyway, that is HUGELY :offtopic: But it's why I haven't had an update.

SOOOOO....here's a tiny update on the pre-trippie....

I haven't got airfare yet but am making some ADR's. I think we'll try for Narcoosee's for a "preXmas" dinner (as I didn't get to try the food last time! :) ) and perhaps a character bfast at Polynesian (since we missed that too!)

What do you guys think? We've done Character meals at Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey's. I want to try something new. :confused3

Thanks for not leaving on me! I am going to try to be online more this week now that I'm not on all the pills they gave me. By the way, I wish they'd tell me why I needed pain killers for a NUMB leg. Uh, Hello, It's NUMB. I can't FEEL it. No pain....duh.
