I've been around in a while- I got a nastly cold that I'm almost over. Hopefully, I'll be feeling better soon!- - Ok onto Day 2!!
Day 2- November 27- Thanksgiving
Stitch was most excited to see Animal Kingdom, so I knew it was a must at the beginning of the trip!!! We got up and showered. While I was in the shower, Stitch was up to no good!
Yes, those are my shoes hanging from the light fixture on the ceiling of our room!
The weather was beautiful! A little chilly, but very calm! Look at this great picture of CSR I took on our way to breakfast!
As we were walking around deciding what we wanted to eat, I saw this beauty!!
We decided to try the Maya Grill instead of the Pepper Market. They were able to seat us right away!
Check these out. They were the light fixtures in the restaurant!
It was a breakfast buffet. We could eat as much as we wanted. That is when I learned a full Stitch is a Happy Stitch, and that was my motto the rest of the trip. If Stitch was getting grumpy, I knew it was time to find some kind of food!
There were some pretty decorations, too!
After Breakfast (which we didn't use the dinning plan for!), we headed to the Animal Kingdom. I'll admit, this isn't my favorite park, but I was excited to ride Expedition Everest! That was my plan for the first stop!
As we walked up, I saw the awesome AK tree!
As I was getting my bag checked, I saw this cute image under the tree
It is Eeyore, and it was so cute to see him peeking out from behind this little zebra! We found some photo pass people, too!
Yes, we are growling like lions!! The pictures by the Tree were taken by a DISer, but I can't remember her name. I'd seen her post before we left about being from Aneheim, CA and working at WDW-AK as a photopass photographer. I wanted to see if I could find her. Well, our photographer at the tree had Aneheim, CA on her nametage, so I asked if she was a DISer, and she said yes. I told her I was too and that I saw her on the DISboards talking about working at AK! She was surprised by very nice. We talked a little and then Stitch and I moved on.
We walked in the park and, or course, Stitch had to use the restroom. We stopped. I was anxious to get going, but Stitch was kinda slow. Oh well. We walked through the beginning trails of the park and I saw these guys.
We followed the signs to Everest. I wasn't exactly sure how to get there even though I'd studied the maps over and over. AK is not my strong point in knowing my way around. (That is comes into play later.)
We followed the signs and eventually we saw it in the distance! Expedition Everest!!!!
More Everest and AK pictures in the next post!
