Stitch is Troubled; he needs desserts! TR with photos- starting new with updates 2/25

The Castle photos are gorgeous!! They look so vivid in your pictures.

Stitch doesn't look to happy in the photo with Tink. :rotfl2:

After my Ariel High, we headed out of Fantasyland. I wanted to see more princesses and possibly Mickey, but I wasn't sure how Stitch would be. We walked over to Toontown. The CM told me I could see the princesses where I was (the judges tent, I think!) and then I would have to go visit Mickey somewhere else. Well, Stitch said we could do whatever I wanted. I chicked out. I knew it was getting late, and I didn't want to stand in line and miss the fireworks.

We headed out of Toontown back towards Fantasyland. I decided it was Small World time for my WDW Newby!!! We headed back. The line was only 10 minutes, so we jumped in. We got in a boat and headed off- I could see some people sitting in Pinnochio's Village Haus. They were waving as the boats passed. I waved back. The girls in the group started doing the "royal wave"- - you know: wrist, wrist, arm, arm. . .etc. I started "royal waving" back- both me and the group in the restaurant busted up laughing as I went into the ride. I got a big kick out of that. Stitch had no idea what was going on!!

I tried to take some pictures, but realized I was so concerned with the settings on my camera, I was missing the ride. That disappointed me so I stopped. (Plus, I was trying to find all the suns in the ride after reading the young adult book Disney in the Dark- a part of the Kingdom Keepers series! Read it if you haven't- I don't want to spoil anything!)

For some reason, I was totally fascinated by the numbers at the loading area of the ride:

Stitch shurgged off the ride- he said it was OK. Yeah, well, at least they don't sing the lyrics to the song the whole time you are in the ride! Thank Heaven for that!!! I told him he had to ride it- it was a Disney Staple made for the World's Fair by Walt himself- he HAD to see it!

We decided it was time to make our way back for fireworks. We headed back to Main Street and found a small area we fit in right in front of the castle. I had no tripod, so I had to hand shoot my photos. They aren't bad. (I might have to continue them in another post!)

First, another photo of Main Street dressed for the Holidays! (there are many more coming later!)

What a spectacular show!!! Loved it!!! We were tired and decided to head back to CSR, but I had decided to get my personalized ears! We started down the Bakery side of Main Street. We just walked and walked. I shot pictures of Main Street.

Finally, I snuck in the Candy store because I knew it had a connection with the Chapeau! They had a great display!

DSC_0362.jpg

I picked my pieces and brought it up to the CM. She took them, placed my sticker and took my name. They said it wouldn't be too long before my name was embroidered, so we stuck around. I was desperated to find the Captain Jack Sparrow Hat for Stitch to try. He was a good sport!

DSC_0363.jpg

Jack Sparrow he isn't, but it was fun!

My ears were ready, so we headed off.

Here I am in front of the Chapeau with my new ears (black base, silver ears with bling and a bling Mickey head on the front!!)

We headed off to Guest Relations. I used to have a friend that worked at Disney World, and I wanted to say hi if she was there. Well, we talked to some people, and they checked the schedule. No one had seen here and she wasn't scheduled to work. I guess she was off for Thanksgiving. They paged her with my number, but she never got back to me! Bummer!:sad1:

Stitch decided he needed some cookies, so we headed back towards the bakery. Once there, the line was too long, so we opted out of the cookies for now. We did find a photopass person, though! I also shot some pictures!

We never got a picture at MVMCP, so this is all I have of us at MK at night!

WE got on the bus and headed back to CSR. Once back, my little cookie monster (stitch) decided he still wanted cookies. We went to the Pepper Market and he selected a few cookies and bought some milk at the little conveinent shop by the gift shop.

We went back to the room, had our cookies and milk and passed out. Several more days to go! I was on cloud nine!!!!

Tomorrow- (Thanksgiving!) AK- Stitch starts to get frustrated and a lovely dinner with a tropical flare!

I've been around in a while- I got a nastly cold that I'm almost over. Hopefully, I'll be feeling better soon!- - Ok onto Day 2!!

Day 2- November 27- Thanksgiving

Stitch was most excited to see Animal Kingdom, so I knew it was a must at the beginning of the trip!!! We got up and showered. While I was in the shower, Stitch was up to no good!

DSC_0375.jpg

Yes, those are my shoes hanging from the light fixture on the ceiling of our room!

The weather was beautiful! A little chilly, but very calm! Look at this great picture of CSR I took on our way to breakfast!

DSC_0376.jpg

As we were walking around deciding what we wanted to eat, I saw this beauty!!
DSC_0378.jpg

We decided to try the Maya Grill instead of the Pepper Market. They were able to seat us right away!
DSC_0391.jpg

Check these out. They were the light fixtures in the restaurant!
DSC_0380.jpg

It was a breakfast buffet. We could eat as much as we wanted. That is when I learned a full Stitch is a Happy Stitch, and that was my motto the rest of the trip. If Stitch was getting grumpy, I knew it was time to find some kind of food!

There were some pretty decorations, too!

After Breakfast (which we didn't use the dinning plan for!), we headed to the Animal Kingdom. I'll admit, this isn't my favorite park, but I was excited to ride Expedition Everest! That was my plan for the first stop!

As we walked up, I saw the awesome AK tree!

As I was getting my bag checked, I saw this cute image under the tree
DSC_0398.jpg

It is Eeyore, and it was so cute to see him peeking out from behind this little zebra! We found some photo pass people, too!

Yes, we are growling like lions!! The pictures by the Tree were taken by a DISer, but I can't remember her name. I'd seen her post before we left about being from Aneheim, CA and working at WDW-AK as a photopass photographer. I wanted to see if I could find her. Well, our photographer at the tree had Aneheim, CA on her nametage, so I asked if she was a DISer, and she said yes. I told her I was too and that I saw her on the DISboards talking about working at AK! She was surprised by very nice. We talked a little and then Stitch and I moved on.

We walked in the park and, or course, Stitch had to use the restroom. We stopped. I was anxious to get going, but Stitch was kinda slow. Oh well. We walked through the beginning trails of the park and I saw these guys.

We followed the signs to Everest. I wasn't exactly sure how to get there even though I'd studied the maps over and over. AK is not my strong point in knowing my way around. (That is comes into play later.)

We followed the signs and eventually we saw it in the distance! Expedition Everest!!!!

More Everest and AK pictures in the next post!

I'm not sure if anyone is still reading this, but here we go.

We got to the Everest line and instead of getting FPs, we just jumped in line. The waiting area was very nice.

I was so excited. This was a brand new ride for me. Even though I'd seen it online, I was really excited to ride this ride. Stitch isn't a fan of heights or rollercoasters, but he went with me. The line seem to last forever, when, in reality, it wasn't too bad of a wait. They even had some museum-type areas with information. That made the wait seem a lot less.

Once I could see the car, I was way excited! We got in the cars and strapped in. We rode with our backpacks strapped to our fronts! (Boy, did the photo at the end look funny!!) It was time to ride!

The ride was awesome! I loved it. Stitch said it was ok! :sad2: I thought it was a way awesome ride!!! I wanted to ride it again, but we never had time. :sad1:

After Everest, we headed on. We saw this awesome bus, some monkeys, and checked out a couple stores.

We decided to go through the Maharaji Jungle Trek. Somehow, in my previous visits to AK, I completely missed these great trails. Since Stitch loves animals so much, I decided these trails were a must see. This one was awesome! I knew this was where the tigers were, so I was ready to go. We followed the trail and saw many different animals. We even went inside the viewing area to see the bats! They were huge! Finally, we saw the tigers! (pictures below)

After the Maharaji Jungle Trek, we headed for the Safari. We crossed behind the Tree of Life. I was pretty sure I knew where I was gonig- I had the map in hand! Stitch was getting frustrated with me. He didn't understand why we had to go that way? Nothing I said convinced him I was right, so we kept going. Finally, we got to the Safari to see a long wait time. We decided to FP it! We got the FP and then headed back to the front of the tree to see It's Tough to Be a Bug. I thought the entrance was closer. Again, Stitch is wining- why this way- didn't we just go this way? That is what I heard all day at AK!

Coming later: Tough to be a bug pictures and safari pictures!

I'm still reading!! I'm glad you really enjoyed EE its another one of my favorites I really like that ride!! Okay well I just want to tell you great work!! Can't wait to read more!
