My grandmother wouldn't go for that. She's really weird about it, if anything doesn't match her tree and wrapping paper it doesn't go under the tree.

We purposefully try to use as many different papers as we can so there will be tons of different papers and patterns and colors under the tree. I'll be wrapping along and then go OMG too much of that paper! And then switch to another!

I usually do that too, but this year I was noticing that most of the paper I had left over was mostly red. So I got all different kinds of paper that have mostly red on them and it looks kind of red and white. I like it, so far. I haven't wrapped very much yet. This weekend I gotta get it done.

Thanks. They're calling for freezing rain now - before it was just rain . I'm a total wimp when it comes to road conditions too.

No, no laptop, but there's a computer at my parents house. If we had one, I still couldn't dis on the way down because I do the entire drive. DH makes me too nervous, so it's all me driving for 17hrs.

Luckily she sticks to pretty much the same color scheme every year, so I have a supply of "Grandma paper," so it's not that stressful. It would be if I had to go out and buy paper every year, but since she sticks with almost the same colors, it's not too bad. Silver is always a safe bet with her.

I don't have to worry about my dad's, sister's, and other grandmother's matching either, since I won't see them on Christmas. I'll just leave their presents at home, in whatever paper I can find, and a huge plate of cookies for them. If they eat them all the day I leave, that's their problem, as I'm taking the rest to my grandparents with me.

I don't know if I posted, but I probably won't have internet access from 12/24 until 1/2, just so everyone knows, you won't have to wonder where I am.

I think we're supposed to have bad weather tomorrow too, and on Christmas Eve too, and that's the day my mom and I are driving to my grandparents. My mom already said something about driving down late at night. Except late at night to her, is not late at night to me, so that wouldn't be a problem.

I can't leave now! It will not do any good. It is already 3:30, we are both at work, not fully packed and it will be snowing by the time we could leave. It ain't gonna happen.

Cat - I do need to stop at the grocery store to get milk & food for our bowling party tonight. Your groceries will be scattered across your lawn so be on the lookout.

I truly love 'em!!! They really DO make your closet space double. I was totally impressed! I have double the room for.....more hangers and more clothes!!!

I wanted to take a 'before & after' and I didnt. I wish I would have.

Do y'all think I should wait it out til it gets warmer which should be mid to late morning - which puts us in at about 2am ish

Or, do ya think we should just wait and go Saturday morning about the same time - 4am which puts us in around 9pm ish.

Nope!

No Vegas for me at all.

We are cancelled. I'm totally bummed.

We woke up at 4:00 to find out our flight was cancelled. I guess they cancelled all the morning flights. Our next option was to get on the next available flight which is tomorrow (Saturday). We didn't really want to do that b/c it was a short trip already and didn't feel it was worth it that point. Plus, we'd lose a night at the hotel anyways. All the flights for later today that are still scheduled are booked solid so standby was not even an option.

The part that sucks even more is I don't know what kind of refund I will be getting. I will get a total refund for the air portion, but they have to receive my tickets mailed back from me and then ask the hotel. So, for all I know, I can lose all the $ towards the hotel or the hotel can give me a full refund, highly unlikely.

This "vacation" has caused me more stress and now it is probably going to cost me $ on top of it! Oh, and I can't fall back asleep so I'm on about 3 hours. Oh, and I bowled poopy last night. We only got 2 pts out of 7.

On the bright side b/c I don't want to be a total Debbie Downer, Abby will be happy we are not going. Hopefully, we can just rebook sometime in the future when the weather is better here & in Vegas! I'd rather go to Vegas when I can use the pool anyways.

Ok, I'm done complaining and I'm sure you guys are sick and tired of hearing about my Vegas trip.

Breezy - I hope you are having better luck!

The weather here is lots of snow on the ground and freezing rain coming down right now. The schools are closed today. Abby is at my SIL's b/c she slept there so we'll go pick her up later and maybe we'll go sledding. Although, I think a nap is my future.

ETA: We would not have been able to fly out Thurs night without paying for new airline tickets so that wasn't an option either. Just throwing that out there for you smartypants that said we should have left last night. : )
