HAPPY LATE BIRTHDAY XENA!!

How was everyones weekend?

I went to Leavenworth yesterday for the Christmas tree lighting.
It was so cold but pretty.

Today is DH's first day at his new job! I really hope he loves it!

Angel - Did you get the house?

So, the fireplace has tile. It was DH's first tiling job so it took him all day & night. Grout is next. We got in a little fight about it last night. We are using slate and as you may or may not know, slate tile has different colors in each tile. Well, the tile he used around the fireplace I think he should have planned out a little better and matched the colors. IMO, it looks like two different color tiles so I told him he should have matched the tiles better and if he can fix it. Needless to say, he was not happy with my commentary. Oh well........

So, now he has to do the grout and then run all the cables/cords behind the wall and clean up the big mess he has made so far. So, hopefully next weekend it will be complete. I'm hoping...........

P.S. I still haven't told him about Vegas which is less than 2 weeks away. I don't even want to go with him right now. GRRRR!

The closing date on the house is Dec 29th. We just got the inspection back, only a couple of minor things need to be fixed, so hopefully we're good to go.

This is the first time I will have ever had a fireplace so I am really excited. It has marble around it.

Oh, I thought I saw something on your facebook about a small dog being a pain.

Anyway, I named her Noel because that was Nana's name. But we gave her a ridiculous long name that is kind of funny. We thought she needed a name that was really long and Spanish sounding like on Lady and the Tramp when Lady meets that little chihuahua in the dog pound and she has about 6 names.

I need to post pictures but I'm at work. This was a busy weekend because of three birthdays. We thought she was black when we got her, but we kind of think she is chocolate brown now. She is really dark though.

Oh, and I brought her to work with me! I'm going to be one of those ridiculous people who has their dog in their purse at the store.

I'm convinced I might not leave my house today b/c it is sooooo cold! We had Bears tix, but there is no way I was going to freeze outside all day so I got rid of them.

Now, I just have to figure out how to get DH to go to the grocery store.....

Guess what! DH is going to rent whatever he needs to tile today! We (he) are almost done with the fireplace! The TV is on the wall and it makes me very nervous. I have a feeling I'm going to come home one day to it on the floor.

Oh, yeah. Abby's TV will not turn on anymore. It is a big honkin' 35 inch Sony tube TV that is soooo heavy. I'm kind of happy it is broke so we can just toss it if we can find someone to help DH move it. It is too heavy for me to move. Now, we have to go buy another TV though. Right before Vegas, bummer! BTW, I still haven't told DH about Vegas.

Xena - I want one of those! Let's see pictures! What's his/her name?

Old broken electronic equipment: GGRRRRRR!

New tile: Exciting! You will feel better about it all by the time you go to Vegas. I think most major house projects cause at least a little bit of bickering!

Ohhh - I might have said something like that, but it's more in reference to liiike... people think "Small Dog, Easy Breezy" and little dogs bark a whole lots more and tend to be more neurotic than a (scary, vicious, snarling) Pit Bull. KWIM? It was more in defense of a Pit, like "they aint so bad".

I like all animals though. And I wish I had one small enough to stuff in my purse and bring anywhere. I'd need a REALLY big rolly one for Charley, and I think people would catch on.

I love the name Noel. Too cute! My girlfriend has a (what are those Shaggy Dog/Shaggy D.A. dogs? Those big, fluffy shaggy grey and white dogs? Anyways.... Her name is Charlotte McFluffypants... a.k.a. Lottie.

Interesting. Never had a spaghetti sandwich. Mine was a skillet that had pasta, chicken, vegetables, etc. Then I had an apple & jello & I'm still hungry.

So, what's everyone been up to?

Nothing much here. The weather stinks. It is a cold, snowy mess! I worked from home yesterday b/c I didn't want to drive in the mess and my boss is on vacation.

I have a meeting today at our warehouse so I'm just going to go straight home from there which = I'm leaving early!

Morning! I'm here. I haven't eaten yet. I left DD12 home because she threw up last night (sorry, TMI) so I'm going home for lunch so I can see how it's going. But on the upside, it gave me a puppy babysitter for the day. I guess the puppy can go to the office again tomorrow.

I have never heard of spaghetti sandwich.

It really wasn't that many things and they were all small like replacing a doorknob and stuff like that. So we'll see what they agree to do.
