Stinkeye!!! Stinkyeye!!! Stinkeye!!! Stinkeye!!! Stinkeye!!! Stink Eye ! ! !!

I have been daydreaming about it like crazy. I mentally moved in! My stuff looks terrible there though. I need new furniture to go with the new house! Would you support me in that decision too?

Actually it is more than one house, a whole neighborhood that the builder couldn't sell and now they are crazy inexpensive. That's the second problem. I don't know which one I would rather have. I think we have it narrowed down to two favorites. The kids love it there and want to move in yesterday!

Good morning!

Xena - How exciting! Let us know what you decide! I want to move to a bigger house in our same town, but closer to downtown. I'm dreading the whole getting our house ready to sell though. We have too much stuff!

Angel - Glad you made it safe! Say Hi to the P's for me. :lmao:

I got a new phone last night! :cool1: Now I have to figure out how to use it. It is the LG Dare and it's a touch screen like the I phone. So far, I'm having technically difficulties scrolling. :sad2:

What's everyone up to?

Something to think about.... at least this is what I thought when you said all this.

This is gonna sound snotty, but I dont care.

If the whole neighborhood is at a great price - are we gonna have people moving in that arent so great?

SUN - can (maybe) vouch for this (or get mad at my snobbiness ;) ) We have a town maybe 1/2 - 45 minutes south of here called Plainfield. The houses are great - gorgeous and big! And they were priced fantastic! So everyone and their brother moved out that way. People who couldnt normally afford a house, could!

Well, (IMO) wonderful Plainfield is crap. I wouldnt live there. My g/f is a 7th grade teacher there. This year they have 4 girls on pregnancy watch (watching for nausea, tiredness, etc) and last year they had 6 girls.

I completely and totally over pay to live in the town I live in, simply because Im snotty like that. I dont want to live near 'Planfield People' :rolleyes1

I like this side of the tracks, better. I moved on this side when Joey was in 5th grade - and really liked it better over here. Not sure why.

But the chunk between town and Ogden, is so great. :goodvibes I mean, I like it. :cloud9:

And when you decide to move - Ill help. No packing though. Ill help with the moving. :thumbsup2

SUN - Will you be home tonight?

I have your copy of what I was gonna make a copy of, for you.

I thought I could drop it off. If youre not home - I could stick it in your mailbox.

You have to remind me though - does your street start with F or C (or is it the R one?)

OK, my weekend was scary. I need your support! We are thinking of putting our house on the market because we found a house we really like. It is currently bank owned (I think the builder may have gone bankrupt) so they are a really good deal. It would be a new house, ours is 30 yrs old. It is bigger than ours. And depending on what we can get for ours it would probably be about the same monthly payment for us. It is about 8 minutes further from town though, which is really something to think about. And it doesn't have a 180 degree mountain view like we have now. It is a lot to think about.

Some things to keep in mind:
Are you going to be disappointed because you don't have that view anymore?
Bigger isn't always better. Remember the kids (hopefully ;) ) won't live there forever, so if it becomes too big for you and DH, will you be willing to move again?
What is it about the house that you love so much more than the house you are in?

I would ask myself these questions before moving. I HATE moving, it's very stressful. We moved last year and I swore it'd be the last house I moved into. I figure when I'm retired I'd get a condo in FL, but I'd keep my MI home too, it would be more of a vacation spot.

:lmao: Geez - do people know that bookstores have a wide variety of books for entertainment?

I like bookstores!

Where's that love me or hate me thing I used to have. I need to find it.

I love your McCain/Reagan pic in your siggy Cat!

Xena, I fully support your decision to buy the new house AND the furniture!!!

Look at it this way....you'll be stimulating the economy! :teeth:

:thumbsup2

They are less expensive than they should be for how nice they are, but not necessarily *cheap*. KWIM? Also it is about 30 or 40 homes, not a whole new town or anything. It is near where I live now. Kids wouldn't change schools. We know two of the families that have made an offer there and they are great people. Not everyone would want to live there because it is considered to be far away from town, higher into the hills, going to get more snow. That is one of the drawbacks to me.

Some things to keep in mind:
Are you going to be disappointed because you don't have that view anymore? I'm going out again on my lunch break because it is a sunny day and I want to see if the one house has a view. I know the other one does not.Bigger isn't always better. Remember the kids (hopefully ;) ) won't live there forever, so if it becomes too big for you and DH, will you be willing to move again? Yes. He likes to move. He sees it as a financial decision. What is it about the house that you love so much more than the house you are in? Almost everything!

Right - right - okay! Then Xena, go for it!!! :cool1: Take the plunge! It sounds like a dream, that is just coming at the right time!!!! :wizard:

OOOo - they even come with GRAVY!

Cat ~ Is it gravy I'm lookin for, or the icing on the cake? What happens if I'm more of a chips and salsa kind of girl? This sounds like a Breezy thing. Where is that girl?

Sun ~ Are my colors going to work for the boards?

Angel ~ I'm glad you got to your new town. Will you miss Florida? What part of Florida were you in?

Ward ~ Thanks for the thoughts on moving. I need to think about every possible question.

Breezy ~ I just noticed you posted recently. I missed that one somehow. Sorry!

Stimulating the economy....good idea. I can promise to do my part!

Cat - I should be home tonight. We need to get our pumpkins carved. We are a little bit behind. F Or, you can always come to bowling alley tomorrow for a cocktail. My bowling team is fun! :) Or, I can pick it up. Let me know.

Xena - I'll check on your boards. I know he said if he can't find purple, he could probably mix paints, but that sounds a little scary if you ask me. I'll shoot him an email right now. We have been so busy lately, I'm not sure if he has had a chance to look for the paint yet. He said no problem by Father's Day though..........

OK. Thanks!

Xena - DH said he hasn't had a chance to check for the paint yet. I'll let you know as soon as he knows. I won't forget about you. ;)

OK! I know you won't. This is a busy time of year. I was just curious because he sounded concerned about the purple. As long as he thinks he can make something work, then I don't care when he does it! I was thinking about it this morning when I was thinking about moving and that would be a great Father's Day gift for the new yard.

So, a little OT and random, but I'm getting the itch to go to Vegas.

My last 2 trips were kind of downers so I need to make up for it.

Last trip, DD got the flu the day we got there. I felt so guilty being there while she was at home sick. I was even trying to fly home, but couldn't find anything that wouldn't cost a fortune to get home.

The trip before that I was really sick there and it was pretty miserable.

SO, I've got the itch real bad and want to go this December! DH's b-day is Dec 20 which would work perfectly b/c I have 3 vacation days left and we are shutdown 12/25 thru 1/1. So, that weekend would be the perfect time! The only bummer is the weather and the pools are closed, but I'll sacrifice.

Now, to get a sitter and make it a surprise for DH so I need to make sure he can get off work Friday & Monday.

I think I found a pretty good price at $840 total for 3 nights at Mandalay Bay for a weekend, including perfect flight times, non-stop.

What do you think? Is that a good price? Monte Carlo is super cheap, like less than $80 a night, but to book airfare separatly is outrageous right now so I'm thinking the package deal for Mandalay Bay at $840 is the way to go.

I will have to live with the guilt of leaving DD at home, but I think I can get over that. ;)

Actually, I'd like to go to Mexico or on a cruise, but airfare is outrageous for that weekend so it is not looking good!

Decisions, decisions.............

Decisions, decisions.............

Do it!

Im going again to Disney in a bit. :)

Thats the one thing I miss about living in Florida... going to Disney every weekend.

Florida - for me - was yucko!!!! Yuck yuck yuck. One year and adios.

BUT - now I can just earn miles going there. **eyeroll**

Disney all the time was fantastic, though!!!

Sun ~ Vegas? Absolutely!!!!! I haven't stayed at the Mandalay Bay. I've done the Monte Carlo three times and it was nice. It doesn't have any major attraction like a ride or an animal exhibit so I think that makes it a little quieter and less expensive. We liked it there.

So, I just found out that the house I'm looking at is actually far enough "out" that it is a different school district. It is actually right on the boarder, but the other district is claiming it I guess. Bummer. Now I have the itch to move, so I found a few more nice looking places online. Hmmmmm..... What to do, what to do.....
