Stinkeye!!! Stinkyeye!!! Stinkeye!!! Stinkeye!!! Stinkeye!!! Stink Eye ! ! !!

I've never won anything :snooty:

Nether had I, until then!

So cool! Were there only a select number of rides open or were they all open?

Ummm.... all the major stuff - and then some.

We ran over to BTMRR - and rode that a couple times. I dont think we did Splash - but I think it was open.

Alright - I think this is what we did:

Pirates
BTMRR - a couple times
HM - a couple times
Peter Pan (wanna see the picture of that *non existant* line??)
Dumbo
Carousel

We did Peter Pan, Dumbo & the Carousel cuz we NEVER go on those, EVER - cuz of the lines, normally.

But there were no lines, that night.

From posts on the boards - the thing started in Tomorrowland and most people stayed in Tomorrowland - and it made it a bit more 'crowded' feeling.

There was NO ONE in the other lands. It was SO fun. We were seriously jogging around - everyone was - and laughing and giggling - and everyone was, too! We'd pass a couple people, and we'd all be laughing.

Seriously... it was SO cool!!!!! :wizard:

It makes me have a little memory of E-ride nights. I had one that was so cool it made a lasting memory for our family.

So bummer news. I'll have to tell more tomorrow in case my DH walks in, but my MIL and FIL are going to join us at Disneyland. Great. That totally takes some of the fun out of it. MIL is so annoying!

So I think they are only joining us for one day, maybe two. That is better than I thought. They are motorhome snowbirds who have been gone since the first week in January and usually come home the first week in April. Perfect timing to meet us at Disneyland. :scared1: The last time we were at Disneyland with them it drove me crazy.

We drove in our Suburban and they refused to drive their own car. I told my DH I thought it would be much more comfortable to drive separately, but they wanted to ride with us and he let them. Then they informed me that I was sitting in the third row the entire trip. So I stuck MIL with the little kids in the second row and I hung out with Nate in row three, just enjoying the ride while she did all the work with the little two. (Ciould have been in her own car!)

Then they didn't get a Disney hotel and we did because they wanted to save money. That's fine, their choice. But we were in the Disney resort and they were a few blocks away, so whenever we went up to the room for a break or whatever, they just tagged along and hung out in our room. They never went back to their own room. They even took naps on our beds. :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: I was seriously so sick of it! I'm sure it will be like that again cause they will have the motorhome and we will have a room, so they will hang with us if we go back there. UGH!

Cat - can I just tell you that I have never rode Dumbo or the Carousel? I haven't. I might though in September!

YES! If you remember e-night, before e-nights got popular, it was very similar, but even better.

I totally loved e-nights (not everyone remembers them - they were wonderful!!!)

OH NOoooooooo!!! :scared1:

It is EXTREMLY hard to travel with people other than 'your own'.

Not this past fall, but the fall before - I planned a trip with mg best g/f and her daughter (whom is Danny's age and she surprised the morning of) and Danny and myself.

Now this woman is my BEST friend. My bestest best friend. I was in the delivery room with her daughter, she was there when I had Danny. We have said SO many times "Why did we even date after we got divorced....we should have just moved in together and been done with these beasts they call men" (no rainbow thoughts, please  ) I have known her since my 17 year old was 2. MY BEST FRIEND....

..... was a completely different person on vacation. Completely different doesnt sum it up. I wanted to push her off a cliff. I couldnt get along with her, there. I called Jimmy crying "I wanted to go home".

It was like I was on vacation with this woman who looked EXACTLY like Lora - YET was not her. It was the strangest thing Ive experienced on a trip. I was like this: :confused3  :sad2: a million times.

Poor Danny was SO excited that her daughter was getting surprised with a trip (she would say to us ALL the time "Youre going AGAIN??" and then look at her Mom with disgust...she had never been there!) and even he was like ' who in the hell are these people?!?!?!?!'

It was bad. So bad.

So then - they actually checked out a day before us. And I was in a Grand Gathering with a few other people (the POPpers who have bonded, thread) too - so we had dry erase boards on our doors, and she (my BFF) wrote on ours 'we rebooked (bounce back)' and gave me her dates.

I did this: :headache: when I read it. Those were my dates. I didnt wanna do this again!

Now - the next trip (which was this past September) was FINE! It was better than fine - it was wonderful.... BUT....she went with her long time Boyfriend, her daughter and her older son. I went with Jimmy and Danny. We didnt spend all day together, at all. We had a few dinners together, watched parades and fireworks together, hung out after the parks closed, back at the pool.... and the best day ever was Typhoon Lagoon. The kids played in the water all day - and we made friends with the bartender all day.

We broke up the drinking, with one whirl around on the lazy river.... we'd get off at the bar, have a drink, and get back on. We did that a few times.

So - my moral of the story is..... It SUCKS to go with other people.

Cat - can I just tell you that I have never rode Dumbo or the Carousel? I haven't. I might though in September!

When in September?? I will be there, too! :yay:

And I rode Dumbo was Joey (17) was little - and I dont think I had rode it since.

And I NEVER rode the carousel until that night.

I have the cutest picture of me and Danny on it. :cloud9:

Danny and I on carousel (wish the color was better, but....)

the date is wrong:

It's so hard to see - but this is the 'street' in front of Pecos Bills.

Imagine you walked from Pirates, towards Splash - and stopped at the corner of Pecos Bills. That is where that picture is (Splash would be over my left shoulder)

Look at how EMPTY!!! :thumbsup2

This one is TOTALLY OT - has nothing to do with anything, but made me laugh when I saw it again.

Joey didnt want to go (in 2006) Which killed me - the kid was raised on Disney!!!!!! BLASPHEMEMY!!!! But he was totally teenager that trip.

We were going for 10 days. My punk kid thought - for some ridiculously CRAZY reason - we were only going 5. :confused3

This is his reaction when he found out how long he'd be STUCK there!! The poor thing!!! Can you imagine?!?!?

Not fun. We had a not so fun trip with some friends recently and it sucks when that happens. We did Vegas with them and thought it would be great, not so much. We have a trip booked with some other friends who we do vacation well with to go to Vegas next month and we found out the not so fun friends are going same time. I hope it goes well.

That is my favorite way to do a lazy river!

Yes, especially in MIL/FIL!

Also, I have a hard time, ummmm how do I put it, using the bathroom in public. I mean I can go in and pee, but anything other than that, I gotta have my privacy. So to have them hanging out in my room so much, well it was kinda giving me stomach cramps and I just wanted them to leave soooooo bad!

No way - I'm like that too! :lmao:

I know where all the 'companion bathrooms' are in all the parks *just in case* I gotta go #2. I cant do it in a regular stall.

My husband got a tummy-ache this last trip and he needed to use the bathroom, and I said "I know just where to take you" and took him to the companion bathroom right outside Pirates. :lmao:

I know! I'm SICK!

OMG I never thought of the companion bathroom! I usually just wait until we go back to change for swimming or something. Once I leave my room in the morning it waits until I am back in the room again! What can I say, I'm into my privacy!

Sun ~ your trip all planned?

You asked about weekend plans and I didn't post because I don't really have much. There is a furnature store closing in town so DH and I are going to look in case they have any good sales. You know I need a new couch if you saw my house listing! I saw another house for sale by us is having an open house on Sunday so I will probably clean on Saturday in case anyone comes to see that one and wants to see ours too, but I'm sure they probably won't. We still haven't shown it even once. I think we might go out for dinner tonight. That's about it!
