Stinkeye!!! Stinkyeye!!! Stinkeye!!! Stinkeye!!! Stinkeye!!! Stink Eye ! ! !!

What color did you use? I wouldn't have a clue how to go about even picking one out.

Hair color?

Um, my friend is a stylist and she does my hair. I think the main color was #7ash. She always uses ash because I have so much natural red it helps tone that down i guess. And then the highlights are done with bleach on foil. You really can't tell how blonde the highlights are from that picture. They are truly bleach blonde.

Ok so here is the running hair survey:

Darker: 3
Lighter: 0
Either: 1

Cat ~ You must have an opinion on this! Are you sick or something?

Breezy - EX-LAX! :lmao:

Xena - That's a lot of TP. I hope you made your kiddo clean it up. That's what I would have done. :rolleyes1

Ok, so remember how I was talking about Mexico. I've still been researching and finally found a great deal at a real nice resort in Playa Del Carmen. Now, I'm scared to death to go to Mexico with all the drug cartel stories going on. What to do, what to do...........

Airport to resort, stay at resort the entire time, resort to airport. No chance for danger!

Of course I made him clean it up. He saved it all and dumped it on the girls yards. He put the forks and spoons back in their yards too!

Cool, I'll try that. The salad thing will be tough because it was my last meal before I got the flu. But I think I can make it work.

Good for you guys!!!

Oh the last meal before the keichka! Why, why I ask you! At my house why is it always pasta? What is up with my timing that I just happen to make spaghetti or lasagna and serve it up to my family just hours before the keichka begins? I'm sure that some would say I make a sorry pasta! But I truly believe that this is a virus, not a food poisoning!

I'm not so sure about that. I read on trip advisor that the road blocks are searching tourists too. Even those in the Apple Vacation vans are getting their bags searched and patted down. That just creeps me out knowing I can get searched by men with huge machine guns.

My flu last time was a chocolate donut. Absolutely disgusting!

The time before that was lasagna! Even more disgusting!

I'll still eat both of them now. It takes awhile after the flu, but you'll get over it.

Your house has this problem too!

OMG I hadn't heard about this. That is way too scary, and especially with Abby with you! Try the Florida Keys or something!

My DH thinks it is safe, no problem. My thought process is I would never forgive myself if something happened to Abby, ya know. I'm a worry wart and it's just not worth worrying about.

Then, the dork I am, wants to go somewhere where you have to use a passport b/c we went out and got Abby one. :lmao:

I was thinking about a cruise, but haven't found any great deals yet. We could always do a cruise that stops in Cozumel for the day. That would probably be safe.

Go to Beaches resort in Jamaica if you want to use a passport. We went to Sandals and we loved it. Beaches is for families Sandals is couples only.

I wish I could. I was looking into the Beaches resorts everywhere and they are seriously 3 times the cost of Mexico. :headache:

I'm reading this drug thing seems to be at its peak so maybe things will settle down in the next couple of weeks. I just hope the prices stay the same by that time or we will not be vacationing at all!

Good, that's some progress.

I don't want this to sound like I'm making light of your situation, but I keep a sense of humor most of the time. My cousins and I always laugh because when my grandma started forgetting us (my dad's mom which I lost a few years ago, not my mom's mom which I lost three months ago) she started calling us all "Dear". Hello Dear. Thank you for coming Dear. We laughed that she probably wanted to say "Who the heck are you Dear?"
We try and keep a sense of humor too. When my grandmother came home after her first stroke, I had been "babysitting" her one day, and she was bored so I put on Enchanted for us to watch. We got to the part when she sings the Happy Working Song, and she told me to turn it off because she didn't like the movie.

Well, I later told my dad she hadn't liked the movie, and my dad knowing that Enchanted is my favorite movie, said she must be even losing it more then we thought. Typing it out, it doesn't sound as funny, but it was funny when he said it. Though that was more a joke at me then at her.

Where is Cat is a very good question. I haven't heard from her since yesterday. Granted I haven't sent her an e-mail or texted her today either, but it's weird that she hasn't posted at all today.

Agreed! I wonder if she is sick.

Cat ~ You are missed! Come back.

She is MIA today. She hasn't even updated her FB status.
She usually does it as much as I do!

I'll text Cat tomorrow afternoon if she doesn't pop up by then. That is usually the way to get the quickest response. :)

I don't know if I posted this or not but there's a good chance my grandmother will be going to a home when she gets out of the hospital, and not come home. :guilty: It made me even sadder to think she'll never see her dog again if that happens, as we couldn't take him to the home to see her, and she worries about the dog so much.

It had gotten really complicated with her at home though since she came home a couple months ago since the first stroke. She had trouble getting around, had a very on and off memory, and got confused easily, and basically needed someone with her 24/7.

And it was getting so expensive hiring people coming in every day for her. I kept on trying to figure out ways to cut costs, but she had saved so much during her life, that the government isn't helping much. Like I'd been doing her grocery shopping for her the last few months, and I'd asked my dad if maybe she could get food stamps, (he has POA, so he'd know,) and he said she wouldn't be able to since she had too much in savings, but that's dwindling because of other things.

At least her hospital bills are covered by her insurance / Medicare, but if she goes to a home, it's going to cost like a hundred thousand just to get her in, and then a few thousand each month after that. It's just so stressful to have to worry about her health and money, as well as everything else all at the same time.

Good morning girls!

Cat - sorry you are sick. pukey flu? What was the last meal?

Carolyn - We went through this whole thing with my FIL where he had several mini-strokes and was in and out of the hospital 7-8 times within 1 year. He is at the point now where he is in a wheelchair and needs 24/7 care. He can barely feed himself or hold onto a drink. He can't afford a nursing home so my DH and his sisters found a caretaker for him which is actually affordable. The catch is she doesn't speak English nor drive. So, DH and his sisters have to do the grocery shopping, take him the doctor, etc since the caretaker can't drive. However, she does take care of him and the house. I can't remember how much she costs, but I do know it is A LOT less $ than an English speaking one. She is a very nice lady and is still able to communicate with us, although it is difficult at times.

I hope your Grandmother gets better. I know it's not easy.
