For those of you that have done the Deluxe Stingray City Excursion, G-39, about how many people were on the boat? Did you enjoy it? Pros and Cons, thank you!
We had booked this excursions but it was cancelled because of rough seas, so that's a con to consider with any GC excursion. Since you have to tender to get to GC, there's a slightly higher chance of excursions being cancelled. Wish we had been able to do it, I had read it was really fun.
If you feel comfortable, I recommend booking an independent excursion. We saw some of the big tour boats and they were packed with people. Our boat only had about 10 passengers. We actually waited to visit Stingray City until some of the larger boats left. He took us to another snorkel spot until it cleared up.
We had maybe 30 people on a very large twin-hulled catamaran. They served lunch and booze and everyone was pretty cool. We had a great experience at the stingray area, plenty of room and lots of photo ops.
I'm not a huge fan of snorkeling, but the kids loved it. Good excursion.

Did this excursion about two years ago, and if I recall correctly there were between 30 and 40 passengers, all from the Fantasy. There are lots of options in Grand Cayman, but depending on your group this deluxe tour might be a really good option. The boat has an actual staircase that lowers into the water going down to the sandy bottom. This made it much easier for getting in and out of the water for people that were less mobile, and the kids.
