Still okay to let kid use my fast pass when I am in park?

I searched and couldn't find the answer. I am not trying to break rules, just want to know if I can still give my band to my child if I am not up for a ride (Space Mountain, I am looking at you) the day of. It usually doesn't make sense for me to modify to a new ride, I would rather just let one of my kids ride twice. I will be in the park, using my ticket, but in the past have handed them my band while I wait at exit.

Yes, it is allowed because all tickets were used for park entry for that specific day.

It's the same as giving away an old version paper FP to a stranger you've never met before... except in this case it's a family member who benefits.

Yes, as long as you use park admission on the MB that the FP is attached to, it is ok. You enter the park, anyone can go through the ride line with your MB. Only becomes a problem if you don't enter the park, and they try to use your FP+.

Yep my daughter uses mine so she can ride Everest and space mountain twice.

Thank you for asking. I was wondering about that as well. My son loves the race cars at MK and usually he goes once with DH with their FP and then again with the ones from myself and MIL. She and I much prefer watching from the stands to driving teeny cramped cars.

While I'm totally on-board with Magic Bands, I do miss the occasional opportunity to give those old paper FP to random people. :earsboy:

For my upcoming trip, I have a FP for FoP but not until the 6th day of our trip. We plan on hitting AK the first evening we arrive. If we are brave enough, we may endure the stand-by wait, since our vacation does not officially start until the next day. (I added a day onto our passes and decided to come in a day early so as not to make day 1 a travel day.) If we get stand-by for the ride...instead of canceling the FPs, I want to invite 2 people out of the stand-by line and "wand" them into the FP line with our magic bands.

I love doing little things like that to help make someone's day. So I hope Disney never changes that about the FP system.

This likely won't work. Some of the more popular rides have a second spot where you have to scan again to go on. We missed FOP by a week last trip so I don't know for sure if that is the case but I suspect there will be a second place on FOP. You certainly don't want to give someone your MB. I so loved the paper FP so it was so easy and fun to gift your FP and create some magic.

I'm the same way. Never know if I'm going to be up to do space mt when the time comes but my hubby loves it so I let him use my FP sometimes.

Sure it'll work. The second tap on some FP rides is nothing new. When you give your band/ticket to another family member, they'll just have to keep it for the duration of the ride, not just at entry.

Oh man!!! I wonder if there is a way the CM at the entry can call ahead or give a little piece of paper for them to show at the 2nd entry. I know the 2nd tap is to prevent rope jumpers. Anyone can jump into the FP lane after the point of entry.

I think Thing 1 is talking about if someone wants to give their FP to a stranger. Can't rightly had over our MB for them.
