Still no rooms at AKL for a family of 5?

Planning my family's next trip for December 2008-- every trip I plan, I check to see whether AKL has anything available again for a family of 5, other than 2 rooms or a suite, but still nothing. I'll even spring for deluxe concierge, but that doesn't seem to be available, either. Does anyone know if there will ever be an option for 5 again? Thanks.

that AKV 1-bedroom will sleep 5.

don't know when CRO will get some. You can see if a DVC member can get you a reservation.

The deluxe rooms at AKL that used to sleep 5 were all converted into the villas. a few villas will be in the main lodge building the rest will be in the additional building they are working on

I knew that the regular deluxe rooms were converted, but were the deluxe concierge rooms converted, too?

Anyone can book a "villa room" at AKL which would be the rooms converted by DVC. There may not be as much availability currently until Kidani Village is finished but they are available to all guests and some do sleep 5 ( or more)---Kathy

We can fit 4 adults and 2 kids in a standard room, comfortably, so i'm not sure why you can't fit 5? The queen beds are big enough to support 2 adults and 1 child without any issues. When making your search, use 4 instead of 5. After you make the ressie, add 1 other person to your trip. Just a thought.

because you are breaking disney rules. if caught you will ask to go to hotel or villa for your size family or if nothing is available you will be asked to leave.

DVC does not care.

but WDW resorts do.

be sure to make friends with your neighbors. It is the neighbors who report you.

We were sad that there were not any deluxe rooms available either. We ended up reserving a suite but only for 2 nights and will spend the rest of our trip at the Poly. I didn't want to risk no room availability for our trip in Dec of 2008. There maybe villas open but after hearing reviews of the suite I think we will just stay there. Its certainly a first for us.
