There are still no times for Frozen Live in October. October 1st is only 11 days away - which seems painfully late, even by disney's standards! I'm starting to feel like we're going to miss out on the show during our trip....

On another note, we're also planning a trip in December. Anyone want to help me speculate on whether PTN will happen every night during the holidays or maybe just on the weekends? I'm DYING to see that parade! Can you believe I went during the 60th and DID NOT. Catch PTN or Disney Forever?!?

We also went during the 60th and barely saw them-You see we were having a hard trip and I told myself I could just wait for October :headache:. And Now I'm planning a trip for the first week of January to try to catch it.

In the blog post about it it said
" And I’m excited to share today that this popular parade will return on select nights during the holiday season later this year. Be sure to keep an eye on the entertainment calendar at Disneyland.com for performance dates and times.

Stay tuned to the Disney Parks Blog for more details — including dates — for this special engagement of Main Street Electrical Parade at Disneyland park next year!"

To me, "select nights" means it won't be every night. So I think it has to be 1) weekends throughout the holiday season or 2) just showing during the peak weeks of Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I really wish they'd just get the show on the road and let us know. I'm making dining reservations for our mid-November and it would sure help to know for sure if we're scheduling around that or not.

Disney is having a real problem with posting scheduling information.
First they had a long delay in posting dining reservation for October.
October is 9 days away and they still haven't posted the schedule for Frozen.

However, there wasn't a delay in having a crane begin with the TOT change out.

the accuarcy of the daily schedule has been a joke since the the world of color for the end of september said "World of Color Celebrate" for weeks when it was known that it was ending on the 5th. And then when the October calendar first came out it too said World of Color Celebrate for a little while.

I think the people who work on the schedule and those that update the website are totally phoning it in. there just doing nothing at all or they are cutting and pasting incorrect information.

So, is anyone concerned that they simply won't have the show in October? Or is that highly unlikely?

I think Disney is just waiting as late in the game as possible so they can cut back on performances if they are expecting lower crowds. Once the schedule is out, they really can't.

But it's quite annoying. They want guests to commit on trips before they commit on offerings. Not cool.

I think that some of the problem is that there are so many different departments within DLR itself. The group that updates/makes the schedules isn't the same as the one that maintains the website which isn't the same as the one that does construction projects. And given that the calendar is updated on the international website, it seems like the website itself has multiple divisions.

So, is anyone concerned that they simply won't have the show in October? Or is that highly unlikely?
I think it's highly unlikely that there won't be any shows in October. They are listed on the international website and, I think, that if the show was cancelled or on hiatus, some of the performers would have mentioned it by now on their FB pages (like the parade performers did).

You should try planning a WDW trip right now! That schedule is still in flux and they want guests to commit to their trips and schedules even earlier than DLR.

I'm helping a friend plan her November trip right now. It's a nightmare. Definitely not enjoyable like it used to be planning a Disney trip.

There's no way that a show that 'just' opened, that they spent a ton of money on, is not going to have performances in October.

Definitely.

But I'd be really worried that they are considering cutting back on performances.

We went Sept 8-11 and I am pretty sure it didn't show up on the schedule until just a few days before. I also thought it might not be playing, but it was every day of our trip. It shows 3 times a day, 1130, 135 and 4.

Have you tried ever tried to call Otto, the automated information service? I called Otto a week or two ago because I was curious if it would tell you about fast pass information for the Frozen show.

When I asked about Frozen, he was telling me about all the great Frozen attractions including "For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-a-long" and the Frozen Stage show at the DL Fantasy Faire Royal Theater, lol.

It's too bad, he's kind of cool. I like how he whistles "It's a Small World" while he's looking stuff up.

I was actually hoping that they were waiting to see potential crowds, as crowd levels do seem to be higher in October, and maybe they would bring back the Pre-Show packages. Cause I would totally consider doing one of those, if only for the fact that you know which show you'll get to go to! I'm trying to plan my days pretty precisely, with also taking large afternoon breaks back at the hotel. I would love to actually make a reservation for the 5:00 show! But I'm sure that's wishful thinking. They sure didn't keep those packages for long did they?

I spoke with Disneyland Guest Relations today -- whatever the official name is for that customer experience department. They stated that although it's not on the calendar yet, it is 100% definitely happening. They're still determining # of shows per day. Take it with a small grain of salt, but he was pretty steadfast in his information.

My understanding is that CMs get in big trouble for giving out speculative information to guests that has not been approved by the Mouse, so I would probably believe it.

I think that the issue is that there are so many different versions of calendars, on the Disneyland website. I was just playing around on it and found one (with pictures, etc) that doesn't have any Frozen schedule for October. But then I found one that does. If memory serves - 4 shows on the first. So, look for other versions of calendars on their site.
