Still looking - thought I would ask again

I posted a message on the board a few weeks ago asking if anyone knew of a place or someone selling unique items from The Grand Floridian. Christmas is approaching quickly and I need a good present for my wife.

Hi Mike. If you go to Ebay/Collectibles/Disneyana and just type in "Grand Floridian" in the seach box, it brings up quite a few items pertaining to the hotel. Primarily pins but there was at least one very nice poster/lithograph as well as some stationary. Another thought, have you tried contacting the hotel directly? I know that in the past they had some lovely watercolors of the resort and other things pertaining to the Grand Floridian in the little gift shop near the coffee shop. Perhaps a Cast Member who works there could help you find that something special since your wife isn't interested in pins.

As I have no $ for pins, I will take your little chore to task and see what there is. Please be more specific. Are you looking for clothing with the GF logo or useful items or knick knacks to keep around the house?

The story behind this madness is that on June 10, 1996 we arrived at the Grand Floridian to celebrate our honeymoon. It was amazing!!! Words can not describe our stay!!!!

Anyway, ever since I have collected items that are of interest from the hotel. Trouble is that we have run out of the normal things to collect. We are now in the hard to find or almost weird items. Items that we currently have: stuffed bears, clothes, pictures, prints, gift baskets, cookie jars, canisters of snack foods, ect.. ect....

I dont know if i can help, but i am going to disney in 21 DAYS AND COUNTING!! so if you want me to pop by the GF and pick something up for you it wont be a problem, and i will post it onto you while im in the states. Just let me know if you wan tmy help and what you want ect, if not dont worry, i hope you are able to get ehat your looking for, your wife is very lucky to have a hubby that is willing to go to so much trouble.

Thank you ever so much for the offer, but we are going in October to OKW for the first time. We are about to close on a resale of OKW. I know for a fact that my wife and I will visit GF then. Its just very exciting and just plain fun to search for those hard to find items that are available in the wide world of collecting.
