Still I-4 delays between Orlando and Tampa?

This one's for the local folks: can someone please give me an update on that big construction project between Orlando and Tampa on I-4? How is traffic these days?

I'd like a guesstimate for how long it might take westbound on Memorial Day around lunchtime. We're debating Sarasota for our beach getaway this time 'round. We love the place, but this is a short trip and if the drive will take much longer than normal we may opt for a closer beach. Thanks!

PS: We would be arriving on Memorial Day itself, so we still have time to change plans -- most of the human tide will be leaving the beaches that day.

As a Lakeland local, there is still work being done on I-4 around here, but work is rapidly getting done. US27 is still a MAJOR mess and there are TONS of delays there all the time. Best bet is to avoid at all cost if at all possible, weekends especially. The 192/I-4 road project is also a major mess causing road delays also, got snarled there over Easter break.

I am sure when its all done it will be nice, but till then...
