Will they still take our picture when we arrive for breakfast? In 2005, we did not do that as I did not want to be pressured to buy. However, this time, DD and I will have on matching Daisy shirts and DH will have a coordinating Donald shirt. We will, OF COURSE, need a picture of all of us together. What is the background? What is the price? What is included? Can they be added to the photopass CD?

Sorry for so many questions. Any help is appreciated.

Yes they can be added to your photopass if you purchase them. I will upload our picture after dinner... It is a plain background though..

what if you aren't doing the photopass is there a charge or can we use our own camera?

They take the pics before you eat and bring them during the meal. You are given the option of purchasing the pictures... If you buy them, they just hand them to you. On the side of the picture is the code that you can use if you are doing the photopass.

I am not sure about them taking your picture with your own camera. We didn't even think about that.

I purchased the pictures for 2 reasons, we looked pretty normal on that day and in the package they give you a picture of Donald, Daisy, Mickey, and Goofy, dressed in safari clothing, with a cute frame. DH loves Donald and that is his Christmas giftfor this year.....

Okay, here is our picture from the Tusker House. The first one is the print that we got. The second one is from when I put it in our photopass and enhanced it.

I'm not sure if I'm confusing this with the queue line for Expedition Everest, but I thought the photo background consisted of supplies that one would take on a Safari. Hmmm, or it could have been just a plain wooden background with a somewhat African design. It's only been a couple weeks but I've already forgotten!

Edit: I guess I was way off in remembering the background! Thanks for sharing your great photos Tinker'n'Fun!

Anyway, the only way to get the photo taken by the Disney photographer is to buy the print package which I think was 1 8x10 and 4 4x6s. The price was about $20+ which was too much for me even though I thought our photo turned out well. Only if you purchase the print package, then you can get the photos added to your photopass. I asked and there was no way to have the photo added to the photopass without making a purchase, and there's no way to purchase just a 4x6.

(On a side note, this way of doing the photos seems very wasteful since they print out all the photos even if you don't buy.)

I didn't bother to ask the photographer to take a photo with our own camera. It wasn't that he wasn't friendly, but he seemed to be rushing us through.
