We went as soon as DW opened up again, we were there when It closed down. We went in March 2020, August 2020, got vaccinated (I'm in the medical field), but whole family got them also. March 2021, October 2021, March 2022, and now going again in a couple of weeks. Never got sick from our DW trips ,but got Omicron in December while away visiting family members, totally unexpected, but it was like a mild flu for all of us.
The way I see it, you can't stop living your life, because what kind of life is that ?
but at the same time , we try to make smart and informed decisions, to protect ourselves and family members. It can be deadly as a the flu or other diseases. We have always paid attention to washing our hands, etc . Even before covid. We will be wearing masks when we fly, and will have them handy when needed while at the parks and restaurants. For us, we will trust in God to keep us safe as we do our part, because we are aware that at the end , He is the only one in control.
