Hi, Dining Moderators!

It'd be great if there were a sticky on this thread, including at least the following information:

1) How far out can one make dining reservations and how does one calculate the number of days? For example, if it's 180 days out (which I believe it is), when calculating this, do you count the day of your reservation and the day of making the reservation as 2 of the 180 days? A specific example would be so helpful.

2) What time is the earliest you can call? What time can you log on to make reservations?

3) What's the number to call and the link to doing it online?

4) Rules, restrictions, cancellation policy, limitations, how the dining plan affects any of these things, etc., etc., etc. I don't even know what to list here, since I'm completely unfamiliar with the process...which is why I would've loved to have seen a sticky when I logged onto this forum!

Thanks -- and I hope my fellow DISers will add to the list.

Hi!

I'm not sure if you need the info yourself, or if you are just making a suggestion, but here are some of the answers:

1) How far out can one make dining reservations and how does one calculate the number of days? For example, if it's 180 days out (which I believe it is), when calculating this, do you count the day of your reservation and the day of making the reservation as 2 of the 180 days? A specific example would be so helpful. 180 days from your check in day. (Or if you are staying offsite, 180 days from the day you want to dine) If you are staying onsite, you can book up to 10 days of reservations at that time (that's what 180+10 means) Use this calculator to figure out your 180 days.

2) What time is the earliest you can call? What time can you log on to make reservations? call at 7am eastern, online at 6am eastern

3) What's the number to call and the link

Yes, the info was for me--but I thought that other people might want to see it, too!

Thanks so much for the info. Much appreciated.
