Stern: Is his radio show going off the air?

There should be better guidelines. I thought they had established guidelines. I'd just hate for my child to turn the dial and listen to him. It's not like you can block out stations on a normal radio. I wouldn't want my son or daughter to think that the way people are exploited (or the way they allow themselves to be exploited) on his show is OK. After seeing him on E! I can't believe he's been on the air at all really. Personally I don't understand why an educated person would tune in.

I DO NOT watch "E". For one thing "E" is only the porno bits in his show for the most part. Most of his radio broadcast is not porno, although it may be uncomfortable at times. I change the channel when he does those bits.

That being said however I would rather listen to the porno bits of Stern than "Sean Hannity" or "Rush Limbaugh".

As far as him going off the air? I don't know. He believes that he is.

I don't know why an educated person would make a statement like that. Everyone has a different sense of humor and different views.

When I was younger, if I turned it to a station with a man talking, I would have turned it. Music was better than some old guy rambling on. Now at 25, he has some interesting things to say, it's my entertainment in traffic.

What kid is listening to the radio from 6am-10am in the morning anyways? Shouldn't they be in school?

It REALLY bugs me that people can tell me what I can and cannot listen to.

He's been serving as my daily morning entertainment for over a decade. He makes my morning drive to work a little bit lighter. When I'm home, he helps make my housework go a little quicker. You don't have to like him, but other people have the right to.

I agree that he can be way over the top,that's when I turn him off. Recently he had a guy on who had a vomit fetish. I won't go into the details but I turned it off wicked fast!! I usually watch his show at night,but I'm bored with his naked girl shtick,I turn it off. I do enjoy his interviews and some of the games they play are wicked funny! C'mon,have you seen wheel-of-Benji? Maybe I like it
because its silly and with all the serious stuff that I hear and read in the news,laughing at someone who passes gas just doesn't seem as obscene as looking at the aftermath of a suicide bomber.That's on when I'm eating dinner.....

my 8 yr old DD has a radio and a tv in her bedroom
she doesn't listen to Howard Stern nor does she know who he is
But there are also plenty of tv shows I won't let her watch
MTV videos to start with inappropriate
you can hear plenty of fowl language and nudity on regular tv and trust me its not after kids are in bed

I don't need the government to tell me what is appropriate for me to listen too or for my children to listen too either
It doesn't take a village to raise my children just their father and me

I'm 36 years old and have been listening to Howard since I'm a teenager (of course back then he was on AM ) I can understand why people are turned off by him, but you can always change the station. That's what I do if his show gets to be too much for me. It usually gets to be too much when he has a woman on. To me, that's when he's most boring, because everytime he has a woman on, it's the same old thing. What I find funny about the show is when they talk about their daily lives, what's happening in the news, playing Stump the Booey or Win Fred's Money. I've laughed so hard from listening to this show I can barely breathe sometimes. I think a lot of people have judged his show without really listening to it. It really is more than just naked women. If it was just about naked women, believe me, I wouldn't be listening.

I haven't seen the TV show but a handful of times. IMHO, it's more fun to listen to the radio and use your imagination trying to picture what is going on in the studio. When I actually get to "see" the show, I have to wonder "She's a hot chick? What is he talking about?"

Just curious if the people who do not like him have seen his movie. I should do a poll.

Yes, I've seen the movie. It was very good.
