Just saw that a wine tasting was offered on the cruise. Has anyone done this recently? I saw a few different reviews from past years, but was looking for a recent review.

Was the wine any good? Did you get a pin?

Thanks!
Pete

I did the wine tasting in Palo's in Jan 2006 on the Wonder! It was a great experience. There were 3 white wines and 2 reds and an opportunity to taste the Sparkling wine that is only served on Disney properties and the White house! I personally didn't like it, but it was a neat experience to say that I have had a drink of the presidents Champagne! Ha ha! My only advice is if you are not a huge wine drinker and you want to have a good time sit toward the back of the room! It seemed to me that the serious people were up front near the speaker and we were having a lot of fun and probably a little disrruptive! All in all I had a great time and learned a lot about wine! I for sure learned that I do not like Pinot Grigio wine! I was surprised also that I enjoyed the reds that they served! I just found out about the Margarita tastings and plan on doing that when we leave September 9th !!!!!!!!! Yah

Thanks; sounds like a pretty fun time. You say there is a Margarita tasting as well that sounds even better.

We are going on the Thankgiving four night Wonder cruise - will it have the wine tasting or is it just on the longer cruises?

No pin when we did it.

Wine is very subjective so each person could think good/bad and the next would think exactly opposite.

Lot's of fun though.

Thought I'd share a picture (from 2004). I thought the wine tasting was very nicely done.

We did the 11 day Med cruise. There were 3 different wine tastings, a beer tasting and a tequila/margarita tasting. We did one of the wine tastings, the beer and the tequila/margarita - all on different days! All 3 were fun.

Has anyone done the wine flight or the margarita flight? I noticed that they were $19 and $15. Is this per person or total? If DW and I share a tray would we get charged once or twice?

Prices were per person. Tickets are purchased through Guest Services in advance. I'm sure you could ask them if you could share a tray. The tequila/margarita was quite a bit of alcohol - would be an easy one to share.
