Steamboat Willie and Band Leader Mickey in 1 day

So my family took our first ever trip to DL last week. The one character we really wanted to meet was Steamboat Willie. So when we did Toontown Morning Madness early in the week we were disappointed to find Mickey meeting guests in the doorway of his house. We asked inside about Steamboat and was told maybe on Saturday, but Band Leader Mickey would be out before that.

On Thursday nigt (after a short mid-day break) we returned to the park around 6 pm. Servile was waiting for the parade and we took a chance on Toontown. Well we had a 1 minute wait to meet Mickey (actually took longer to walk through his house). And who did we meet? Steamboat Willie. We were sooooo excited.

Well, thanks to all the great people here on Dis, I knew about multiple rooms, so we walked through again with 0 people in line and kindly asked CM is Mickey was due to chain his shooting schedule soon. She returned in a minute to tell us Band Leader Mickey was there.

So now we met both within 5 minutes (talk about Pixie Dust)!!!

I wanted to thank everyone on here for the great advice for us WDW vets' 1st trip to DL.

Awesome! The different Mickeys is something I hadn't even realized until I read your previous thread before your trip. I hope we can work out a meeting with Steamboat Willie sometime.

lucky! i love the photos! Everytime i have gone i have only ever met the fantasia mickey and normal mickey.... i dont know what else to call him lol.
