Hi all,

We are celebrating our 10th anniversary at DLR in October. On our actual anniversary we have a long day at the park planned (open 8am to midnight) and have reservations at Steakhouse 55. We don't want to have to go back and forth from the park, to the hotel, to the restaurant, to the hotel, to the park, so we are hoping to just wear our park clothes to dinner.

Has anyone done that? Do they require suit / tie / dresses?

Thanks!

There is no dress code but as an alternative if you want to dress up , you could pack a nice top and some capris or a skirt/sandals in a backpack or locker to change into.
However again not required just an option if you wanted to !

Park casual is 100% acceptable. People may get a bit dressier for a night out but not at all required or expected.

Now, I would not show up in beach ware and flip flops, but nice decent casual you are totally fine.

When I went last month there were people that were dressed nice, and other people in slacks and polos, and others in board shorts haha.

We did dress jeans and polo. I thought we were underdressed, but the next group in basketball shorts and t-shirts calmed my nerves. It is a more upscale venue - so to me, dressing aptly helps up the experience. If I go again, we will dress up a little more. But that's just me. That said, what others were wearing didn't bother me one bit. Though I know to some it matters...my dear old dad would have probably groaned at the sight of people in shorts. lol

CMs have told us that while there is no dress code, they do appreciate it when guests at least freshen up before dining. No one wants to dine next to a table of sweaty, smelly people.

It's a very nice restaurant. Very pretty inside. We went for Afternoon Tea and most of the people were dressed nicely. It was mostly women, moms and their daughters. Some even had hats and fascinators on.
If I had dinner reservations, I would not go in park gear, especially shorts. That's just me though.
We dress up for Napa Rose and Carthay Circle as well. It's an upscale experience.
