I have a question about Steakhouse 55. I made reservations the first day they were available for dinner in July. We have a group of 7. There was not any availability online so I called. They were able to split us up into a group of 3 and a group of 4 and book a reservation, which is fine. But, I have been religiously checking back to see if I can snag one for our whole group. It is our fist meal on property so it would be nice to be together. I can't find anything! But, if I change my search to a group of 6, there is availability. What is up with that? Does Steakhouse 55 have that few big tables? Do they take reservations for 7? It just seems weird. Insight?

Perhaps someone can share the direct phone number to Steakhouse 55, rather than Disney Dining.
This would be similar to Napa Rose, where the Chef's Counter can only be booked directly with the restaurant (not through Disney Dining).

I've done similar things, then make sure they know the day before we want to be together, and we have always been put together. We had a parties of 12 without issue. Just make sure they know. They can reconfigure the table set ups.

I thought I had pictures of various setups we have done. But they have a couple of areas with a "booth/table" set ups that they use for groups like this.

The tables are pretty small there. There really isn't room to put them together. It's a weird layout. Lots of booths and tables along a center divider with not much space between. And it's a small venue overall...not many tables.

They have several 10 top tables that can be moved in. They usually only have about 18-20 tables, 6 booths, then the "booth/table" set ups.

This is how they seated us as a table of 7.

How did you request it the day before? We won't be on property until the day of our reservation so I can't pop in that early. Did you call? Or would it be better to go in person the day of but earlier in the day?

I would go in the day before. If you are arriving day of, if you can go in in the morning, or late afternoon, that should help. Call if you can. Remember, Mon-Thurs they aren't open after breakfast until close to dinner.
