Staying @ POP & want to decorate your window?We need someone to Takeover the thread!

Just went to town to visit the neighborhood Dollar Tree to see what was new. In the area that has stencils, paint.... I found foam Disney wall decorations! Mickey, Tink, Pooh, Belle and Cinderella. There were 2 in a pack for $1. They are about 4" tall, thought they would be great to decorate the door hanger and the door. They may not have them at all stores but it doesnt hurt to look!

My kids are napping so here i am for my afternoon!!! i tired them out chasing htem around the house!!! We started picking up the playroom and then BOOM Autumn had something i was about to put away and it turned into a chase game with Gabriel right at my heels!! then we'd turn around and chase Gabriel and he thought that was hilarious!!! then we layed on our bellies and read a story in the office here and lo and behold the eyes got droopy

i should be doing laundry and washing the breakfast dishes, but i just IMed DH and told him he can do that tonite! hahah!! he said OKAY!!

Is anyone driving down before 9/26?

If so, I have a very strange request ........

DH really wants to take a can of Lysol , but we can't take it on the plane (last year I had a very small sample can that they allowed, but we can't find it in the stores anymore).

If anyone is willing to leave some at the desk for us, I'll either send payment by paypal or money order.

If this request is against DIS rules, please delete.

HOWEVER

OUST air sanitizer makes the CUTEST little travel size can!! it is sold at TARGET and they have it in their chek out aisles AND in the laundry section.

I too have been looking for Lysol in a small can.

We carry the sanitizing wipes with us. I wipe down every touchable surface before we unpack. I don't even do that at home I wanted to have something to sanitize the beds, but unfortunately I had none.

Is Oust a disinfectant? I'll have DH look at it after work - he'll be at Target anyway - he's such a bargain hunter.

We have the wipes, but DH isn't happy with them - he wants spray.

I've found out that Lysol makes a 6 oz. can of crisp linen scent, but we can't find it. Someone on the transportation board gave me a link to order it online, but I haven't checked into it yet.

I was just checking out information on the POP resort. Perhaps you can clear something up for me... Does each and every room have hairdryers, or do I need to request one? Refridgerators? worth the rental, do some rooms come with them? Thanks

Yes, they have hair dryers.

There's a bunch of refrigerator swaps going on over on the Budget Board - works like the decoration boxes except there's a small fee, much cheaper than the $10 a day rental.

My parents did have a fridge last year, but they were in a handicap accessible room.

Hi, Could you explain how the boxes work? Does each person add something new? I will be at POP 12-23-2006 thru 12-31-2006. Do you have any boxes available? I am new to the boards, but really love the idea of decorating the window. Thanks, Lori

Just got back from the Pop. I was with Disgramma and we had Box number 1.
Not too many people saw our cute window because we were at the end on the top floor of a quiet view building...but our next door neighbors thought it was cute!

While there, I discovered that Pop will do long term storage for free.
So I left a whole suitcase there with my name on it, because I'm going back in two weeks! (made no sense to take it home now did it)

I also left a full locker there that was provided as a 'test' for a new biz that involves pick up and delivery of a personalized 'locker' between vacations.
The locker is more geared to DVC and multiple visits per year.

But now that I know that POP will long term store in their luggage department for free...it might make sense to start storing our 'boxes' with them. I gave a dollar to store and another to pick up. I say this because it's been reported on other sites that the front desk has been losing stuff that they store...and that the Pop handles 500 pieces of 'mail' per day for it's guests. I tried to pick up an envelope left for me the day before and they couldn't find it anywhere.

Hello and welcome! i will check my lists in a second for those dates

Everyone uses what they can from the boxes, THEN they add something, anything (tape, a sign, anything) AND they hopefully take photos of their window and post them here! AND tehy take inventory of the box and let us know here what all was in there

Is there a post somewhere that tells you how to get the box and what to do with it when your time is done? I don't want to make anyone go through the whole thing if I can go read it myself . Thanks, Lori
