Staying overnight in DC, anywhere to park car and use METRO?

Is there anywhere you can park your car from early Saturday morning til late Sunday night and use Metro rail to L'Enfant Plaza. The folks at Metro customer service say only a few stations have very limited multi day availability. i.e. 15 spots, first come basis. I was looking at Greenbelt as I'm coming from PA.

There are a few park and ride lots available at some of the outer fringe Metro stations. Call Metro (or go on their website) to find out which ones would suit you. Among all of them, there would probably be plenty of places for you to choose from, especially on a weekend. Consider stops on the red line as well, since those go into Maryland as well (this would involve changing to the green or yellow line at Gallery Place though).

However, and especially because it is a weekend, there are several nearby parking garages from L'Enfant Plaza. They might be more expensive than the park and ride lots, but it would be more convenient.

Parking at WMATA lots over the weekend is free. Their website has a decent amount of info here. You may want to pick a couple of stations in case Greenbelt is full.
