I was wondering what area around Orlando is the best to stay in a rental property. I heard Davenport was nice before but now I have seen some not so nice reviews. We will be renting a house with possibly two other families. Thank you.

We always stay at the Windsor Hills Villas. We have stayed there 4 times in 2 different houses and each have been great. It is a great little gated community with playgrounds. It is within 10 mins of Magic Kingdom. There is also every restaurant/fast food you could think of and a Target within minutes. We always go to Target on the day we arrive and stock up for the week. If you are doing houses, every one of them has your own pool and most have a hot tub. Hope this helps.

We have rented a town house on Maneshaw from Deb Asherus I believe her name is. We do a Friday rental on arrival day at Allstar Sports as that is when Allegiant fly's in, and stay a Sat to Sat at Deb's. It is amazing quiet, clean and so much space. Three bedrooms/baths, washer/dryer in the home, private enclosed pool. On site the have a game room, movie night, play ground, large pool and small store.

It was about 15-18 minutes from the parks. We stopped and bought milk, water, gatorade, OJ, bagals, box of cereal cold meats and bread, frozen pizza and Capri juices for kids. They have a roll of TP in each bathroom, you may wan to pack or buy an extra, we did and roll of paper towels.

It is gated, quiet, they pick up trash once a week, but the towels and if you want to wash sheets during the week buy detergent. The one time cleaning fee is attached to your bill. Last year we paid $599 a week, tax and cleaning fee $75. Well below what a week at a value would have been.

I loved the Disney decorative touches, prints and kitchen/bath decor. I LLOOVVVEEDDD the amount of space and King size bedroom for us.
They have a Condo now Maybe 302A or something like that which is Frozen themed. That is two bedroom. Tell Deb and Dave the gal from Up North recommended them. You will really enjoy the smooth communication and transactions.

We rent a cabin off 192, just East of I-4. It's VERY convenient to the parks. I actually chose this spot after studying a map (and crossing my fingers it would work out as planned LOL).

We've stayed at both Windsor Hills and Emerald Island. Had great experiences each time. We usually rent through VRBO.

We stayed at Windsor Hills on our last trip and rented through Florida Sun Vacation homes and had a great experience. It took us about 7 minutes to get to AK, 10 min to HS and Epcot, and a little less than 15 min to TTC for MK. If you are doing multiple days at the Disney parks, Davenport may be a bit far IMO. I really like the Western Kissimmee area communities (Windsor Hills, Windsor Palms, Oakwater, Crestwynd Bay, Formosa Gardens, Rolling Hills, Indian Creek, Emerald Island) because we didn't have any issues with traffic and you can get onto World Drive fairly quickly off of 192 or you can take the Sherberth Road shortcut, especially for AK.

We did Windsor Hills previously and had a great experience. We also went through Marriott Grande Vista as well and that worked out.
