It's not too bad.

Follow the road signs to "Fort Wilderness Campground."

(You can't drive directly to the Hoop location.)

Park in the public guest parking lot.
Go to the bus stops there and take an Internal bus.

Tell the bus driver that you're headed to the Hoop Dee Doo.
(He'll take you to the Settlement bus stop.)
Pioneer Hall is just a few steps from that bus stop.

I'd get to the Fort Wilderness parking lot by 45 minutes before your show-time.


After the Hoop, just reverse the process.
Tell the bus driver that you're headed back to your car in the guest lot (Outpost Stop.)

And if you are worried about there being nothing for you to do 45 minutes before your tour, don't worry, there are plenty of things to look at - you can mill around and there is lots of room for kids to run and get their energy out.

Yup. There are even some park-type playground activites near Pioneer Hall. (Swings, etc.)

How late does the boat run to take you back to MK to get your car?

If doing the boat, what time I should I leave MK? We have a day in MK with Hoop for dinner....we have reservations for 7DMT at 2:40 and reservations at 6:15. I had been thinking of driving to WL for ease when going home, but it looks a lot easier to do the boat?

Figure about 30 to 45 minutes at most for the boat trip to/from MK ro Fort Wilderness with time included waiting for a launch to come. It is easy, the dock is right near the Pioneer Hall area.

MK's boat dock is right out in front of the MK gates.

That can depend on how late MK is open that evening.

You need to remember that for MK, your car is not parked at the MK gates, but at the TTC/MK parking lot.

After the Ft. Wilderness-to-MK boat takes you to the MK gates, you still must take a monorail or ferry boat to the TTC.
