Has anybody not stayed at the WDW accomadations while doing the College Program? My issue is that I want to do the CP from May-Jan. I can't start attending UCF until that May, so I won't have anyplace to live for those 4 months in between. I'm thinking it might be a better idea to just go down there and get an apartment for a year (May-May) so that I don't have to worry about finding a place to live short term after the CP. It also might work out cheaper if I get an apartment with 1 or 2 other people, and I'd get my own room :thumbsup2 lol. So, would it be dumb to not stay at Vista or Chatam while doing the CP? Would I be missing out in the whole experience if I did?

Missing out on a big part of the experience? Yes.

But you have other goals and aspirations, so you need to do what is best for you.

In the short term, getting your own place really isn't cheaper due to the deposits, acquiring furniture, and whatnot. But you want to permanently move there, so it may work best for you to get your own place.

With that said, your best option may be to look at seasonal or part time positions (possibly even full time and then dropping your status to part time when you start school). The reason is that the pay rate is higher for the people in those positions rather than the CP.

You don't need someplace to stay, you may not be interested in the courses, so you really only want the work experience. You don't need to the CP for that.

Just MHO and take it for that.
